BERTUCCIA-1S Field Watch

Very nice watch in every way, top quality and cool-looking. 36mm dial.
NICE WATCH!!! I just received this the other day and have been wearing it night and day. I really need a watch that has good night visibility and this is it. Mine has the light khaki green band and it is super tough--as it everything on this watch. The watch size is perfect for those of us that do not have big, fat, thick wrists. So this is, at 36mm is the perfect size for me. It's extremely comfortable and the strap is never going to need replacing--it is very strong and tough. The dial cover is mineral glass (not sapphire but it is extremely hard). The bezel is titanium while the watch case itself is stainless steel. It is a very cool-looking watch and precisely accurate as well as comfortable.

Very nice field watch
It has everything I’ve been looking for in a field watch. Time is very accurate. Lume is okay, the NATO strap fits very well, very easy to read. Thumbs up on functionality, and a big plus for the screw down crown, makes it very durable.

Nice field watch
As a basic field watch, this is outstanding. I would prefer an aluminum oxide crystal and an indexed luminescence in this size, but after getting this and wearing it for awhile neither is as important now.The dial is easy to read in the middle of the night even without indexing -- caught me by surprise. The luminescence is NOT a 'lighted dial' -- it is luminescent. With short exposure to bright light, the watch is readable for about 7 - 9 hours, if your eyes are adjusted to the dark. If you are driving at night with headlights you will need a light source to read this. The crystal is recessed and not in great danger of scratching, but will pick up welding splatter if you don't take it off.As others have pointed out, this watch is a half inch thick, so offers some issues depending how tight the cuffs of your sleeves are, or if you work with your hands in confined spaces. I like most of the features of this watch, but not all, but is certainly one of my favorite watches despite it not meeting all of my personal preferences. All that said, I did get an A-2S Ballista since buying this A-1S. The A-2S Ballista has the sapphire (aluminum oxide) crystal as well as an indexed luminescent dial though it is noticeably larger and a bit more expensive. Ah-well, compromise usually works, and will work for me. I imagine I will shift between the two depending on what I have planned. They are both wickedly accurate like most quartz watches, stylish, and simple.

Beautiful, durable piece
I’m very happy with the looks as well as the comfort of this Bertucci time piece. I’m wearing it as a daily, casual addition to my wardrobe, though in my opinion it's nice enough for those special occasions as well. This is my first Bertucci watch and depending on the life of the watch I will more than likely grab another when the time comes. Well worth what I paid. The Swiss accuracy is very smooth and the light up display works well. Really cool in my humble opinion.👍🏻. Looks and feels great.

Good Size
First off, at 6'1" tall and weighing 163lbs (and no, I'm not too skinny--my BMI is spot on), I'm a slim guy.I was searching online for a SIMPLE (i.e., shows the time only--no dates, no electronic compass, no calculator, no barometer, no two-way radio, no built-in tape measure, no nothing else!) wristwatch that wasn't the size of Big Ben, when I found the Bertucci A-1S.With so many gigantic men's watches being sold today (I can only imagine large watches are either for showing off or for people who are massively overweight, which seems to be most of America these last few years), I was worried even this watch might be too big, so I went to Bertucci's website to get its exact measurments, then copied the photo of it and photoshopped it until the image was life sized when printed.I then cut out the printed image, taped it to my wrist, and saw that the size was perfect for my wrist size, so I bought it.The watch arrived today, and it fits the same as the image of it that I printed.I'm very happy with the watch so far, although I wish the case weren't so thick and wish the watch didn't weigh so much! (but it's probably thinner and lighter than the majority of other watches sold today).Aside from its thickness and heavy weight, the one other drawback is that I have to buckle the strap on the very first hole, leaving a long tail of strap, which dangles because the band has only one keeper--and although the keeper is designed so that you can double the tail back on itself to tuck under the keeper, with so much extra strap, this was not a neat enough solution, so I cut off the excess with a scissor. The end is fraying, so I'll ether melt the end or dip it in glue--folded and tucked under the keeper, it won't be seen anyway. So that's it--as modern watches go, this promises to be a great watch.UPDATE: I've worn this watch about a dozen times, and unlike the experience of the other reviewer here, the black finish is NOT rubbing off the buckle on the watchband.

Too Small
I found the watch too small for me. It did seem like a quality watch just small.
