what's the diameter of the driver? I need to know if it fits my machine (3/8), although the shape looks the same

Mine measures out at 3/8" and should fit most of the machines out there After comparing various brands of machines the main difference I have come across are price and the way the motor mounts. I like the way the Norpro mouts with the two slots and seems to be the solidest. I actually modified the side covers on my Roma to accept the way the Norpro power unit mounts, just make sure your machine has the mounting slots. Personally I feel most of the makers come from the same manufacture.

I see it will fit my Atlas 150 cool. But will it run without holding down the button ?

Yes it will...It has both options... It is a good little machine... I use mine for polymer clay so when it is in use it gets a work out... This is my seconed one in 10 or 12 years... I too have an atlas But have used it on other brands... Enjoy
