2Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver Extension with 6 inch Rise/Drop, Solid Shank

This hitch elevator is very easy to install and really does the trick. I have a Toyota RAV four with a Hollywood bike rack attached to the back and when we used to back up the bike rack used to hit the cement or pavement if we were going down the driveway. Now it doesn’t hit the driveway at all because it’s about 4 inches higher. It’s made out of extremely heavy duty steel.

Good value for the money

My car carrier was Low to the ground and scraped the ground whenever I hit a bump or went up a shallow slope. This worked great to raise it just enough to keep it off the ground. It also helps to move the carrier a little further back so I can open my hatchback without hitting the carrier.

Paid extra for the hitch lock - arrived without lock or even a plain pin!!!

Excellent value and superb quality build! Almost went with Curt, but couldn't find any in stock. Glad I didn't! I used this to raise my cargo carrier height to avoid driveway scrape issues, without adding unnecessary length. I had originally tested a no name POS from HFT that proved to be garbage at 2/5 the cost. Lesson: you get what you pay. 100% satisfaction once I switched to this, and there's no more scraping when entering or leaving steep or bumpy driveways! Always use with a secure hitch pin with safety pin, and also hitch tightener(s) to reduce rattle and mechanical rattle stress/wear on your equipment.

I haven’t used it yet but it is very well built and fully expect it to work as intended, that is to raise the towed trailer from a low hitch.

Wow! This thing is heavy and very sturdy. It worked perfectly to lower the hitch to make it easier to load my mobility scooter on to the ramp we bought. I definitely recommend this!

Purchased this along with a hitch for a 2018 Jeep Sahara Wrangler SLU. We were using a folding bike rack installed into the hitch mount and it blocked the back tailgate from being able to open. This drop down adapter lowers the bike rack and pushes it out to the back just enough to allow the back swing gate and window to be used when the bike rack is down and also allows the bike rack to fold up (when empty) tight against the spare tire. It basically made the bike rack function and store like it would on a regular vehicle with no spare tire.. Highly recommend if you're in the same situation

a bit pricey for what it is but helps me get my 60lb e-fat bike on much easier now. however the added joint causes the whole rack to sway more so straps were required from the bike rack to the roof rack for added stability
