Very nice in a garden lantern
The media could not be loaded. I used these in some garden lanterns and they look fabulous, see the short video. I used a 12v DC power supply from a computer modem that I no longer use. (Note that an AC power supply will not work.) I also bought some G4 lampholders and waterproofed and fixed the lamps into the lanterns using silicone sealant. They have continued to work brilliantly through some serious rain storms, lighting the way for trick-or-treat children and now looking great on the patio. Although they need DC, the lamps are not polarised (i.e. it doesn't matter which way round you plug them in). They are so good I have bought some more!

Not at all realistic
The flame effect of these bulbs consists of increasing then decreasing rows of leds switching on then off in a fairly predictable fashion. If this gives a realistic flame effect, then a primary school child's crayon drawing is like the Mona Lisa. Also, although the description states a voltage range of 8-30 volts, you will need at least 24 volts to get these working. Save your money.

Dont work properly
There are 6 or so lines of lights but only the bottom 2 work and flash on and off and does not resemble a flame. Dont buy

Worth The Money
These G4 LED Flame Lights are well made and work realisticly . I found I had to put 2 rounds of thick traceing paper on them so that the individual LEDs did not show through the plastic houseing . Once this was done they were perfect and looked like a flame light . Then I found on Amazon a frosted glass tube for a light fitting - I put the Flame Light into this and Hey Presto even more realism . 5*s from me for the Flame Lights .
