I can’t relate to those saying it was hard to activate. I’m a relatively small girl, 7mo pregnant, and popped it on my first try. It instantly got cold and lasted about 10 minutes. After 10min it started losing the coldness, sort of as expected.

I bought the 24 pack and none were popped or broken or spewing out, unlike some of the negative reviews. They were all in great shape. I tried one out right away. It takes a good squeeze, as most due, to pop the inner contents to start the cold process, but it wasn't that difficult. Definitely don't cut into it, pound it with a hammer, or anything like that to get it to pop as that won't make it work right. I shook up the contents and it immediately got cold and lasted well over 30 minutes at the coldest and then diminished slowly after that, which is what these are meant to do--provide temporarily cold for injuries. So, if you're expecting hours of relief from one package, that's unrealistic. If the contents are shaken thoroughly, that will reduce your results, too. But following the directions and knowing what it's all for seems to produce the results one should expect. So, I'm very pleased with these.

I helped coach for some of my kids sports teams and I bought this large package of these to keep them in my bag at practice, games and meets. Anytime someone needed ice these worked great. The price point was perfect for this many so I could have them around all the time. Anyone who is a coach or parent with kids in multiple sports this is a great thing to have around.

Comes in 4 separate boxes which is ideal for traveling and packing for tournaments and practices etc. My son used 3 of them the day I got the package , fits in sock nicely to hold on the ankle. Not too big and not too small, good size. I would purchase this again if needed- always good to have these in the car or handy just in case, it's not always your son that needs it so be a Boy/Girl Scout and prepare and plan ahead for every contingency.

These are small but great for a quick cold on a hot day. Not especially for a wound or sprain. Doesn’t get cold enough or stay cold long enough to freeze the area.

I live in a warm humid climate and bought these to keep my water cool while I ride my bike. I also use them to put on my neck if I’m working outdoors in the hot sun. A good way to cool off.

Daughter bought 24 pack to have for soccer! Keeps a few in her first aid kit and have come in handy for her teammates, then she replaces more when needed in her bag! They work great and even work great when teens get overheated- using on back of neck. Great value and I do store them in the house - as it does suggest do not store in hot temps.Very happy to have had 24 pack as an option!

We must have got a bad batch. We have a gym and bught these to use with member injuries. They are almost impossible to activate by bending or squeezing. We will not buy again.
