Great price, better than the router bundled by ISP, but configuration is clunky
I have previously used NetGear products at work and had been impressed by their quality, so was expecting a lot....Connected to our ISP supplied modem/router with no problems and has proved far better than that router in the following ways...+ much better range+ 5GHz at the same time as 2.4GHz+ reliable ... when loaded our previous router gradually degraded (slowed, connections dropped, DHCP failure etc.) and only fully recovered after a power cycle - these issues have not been seen since installing this routerThe web configuration interface is a bit disappointing. It's surprisingly slow considering both what it's doing and the performance of even the cheapest current embedded processors. The interface is not well designed and looks quite dated. Feels like it might be a collection of large, complex and quite old software components that the software developers now working on don't fully understand. The management app for Android that NetGear are extremely keen to promote is very poor, buggy, limited in use, has an extremely painful (buggy) install and just not worth bothering with.Considering the price and the fact that the most important parts of the product work and work well happy to give 4*s.

Moderate, good for price but not for double-floor house
I bought this modem to use with Virgin Hub3 which has been dreadful with working from home especially sitting upstairs while modem was downstairs. I was also thinking of using GeForceNow on 5Ghz mode.Yes, there was improvement. A little bit of better Wi-Fi coverage. Much better with sudden throttling of even basic browsing compared the Virgin. But 5Ghz drops and I move it to the side of the table, testing with GeForceNow, test results with many problems to stream the games. I also had issues with WebEx and Teams meetings time to time.Bottomline:-It's a good router for its price.-I can recommend it for smaller houses or apartments.-I do not recommend for medium and bigger houses.

Fast, powerful and very easy to set up
Extremely easy to set up. The nighthawk companion App (I used iOS) made the set up extremely easy. Follow the instructions to the letter and it’s all set up in less than 10 mins. The signal strength is very good and speed has been superb so far.It supports iPads, laptops and TVs (one Ethernet and one WiFi) without any problem and all appearing to have very fast data rates.I’m happy with this so far and glad I chose it.

Disappointing
Really disappointing. Clunky to setup and use, poor performance, advised by Amazon and Netgear to return - so have done.Shame as Netgear are normally good - went for a mesh system instead.
