B&M40298 Hi-Tek Aluminum Differential Cover

My 2014 F150 was showing wetness on the rear end which is an indication of a slow leak. I could have taken it for a warranty repair but decided to change the cover with something that looks good. So I bought this one since it looked nice in the photos. This thing is made out of thick aluminum and comes with bearing cap support for better reliability (?). It has large fins for better cooling as well. Be warned that stock bolts won't fit but does come with stainless hex bolts. This also means the stock wiring ties/support will not work and need to come up with a different method to fasten the wire going across the rear housing. All in all this looks great IMO and am happy with the purchase.

The two load bolts screw all the way in flush with the cover before they contact the carrier bearing support. Of course with them sitting flush there's nothing left for the jam nuts to screw on to. I figured I could just call B&M and have them send the correct length load bolts. The problem is you can leave a message but they don't return the call.

This cover fit my 2017 F-150 rear differential, however, the magnetic drain plug didn't fit and the bolts for the bearing caps are too short as another reviewer mentioned. Those are both major problems that must be addressed and they should send replacement parts ASAP.

Installed this cover on my 2007 f150 XLT 5.4L 2WD looks great and fit great. Only thing I had a problem with was the bracket that the EVAP. Canister attaches too had to be bent about a 1/2 inch to the rear of the truck. I also painted the cover with graphite color textured paint then clear coated it.

No hardware at all had to send it back

Has the same bolt count but not the same pattern.
