Godzilla Mega Set - Set

This is a nice collection of the Millennium Era Gojira movies, and one Heisei Era film. After the last film from this timeframe was released ("Godzilla: Final Wars"), it would be nearly 12 years before another Gojira movie hit the theaters. This is a nice movie collection for Gojira fans, and given that it came out to essentially under $3 for each movie for the entire set (at the time I purchased it), it is a great deal!

If u like old Japanese Godzilla movies then this is a requesit for ur collection, provides hours of entertainment, now these are old Japanese made monster movies that were made inexpensively back in th monster movie era when there was a demand for such, so they are what they are, there's not going to be any Oscars winners in this set, but it will help complete th hole in ur movie.collection, and therefore th story line. Enjoy.

For the price I should not complain too much, and I haven't finished all the movies yet, but here are my complaints: It indicates that subtitles are available when you finally find a main menu, but nothing happens when you try to select; my remote won't even acknowledge that it is possible. This is a problem for me because I'm a bit hard of hearing. Fortunately the movies are dubbed (not my preference) but the spoken language is so low volume I have to turn the remote up to over 30 (usually set around 15), which is tolerable except when the monsters start roaring, then it's way too loud so I keep having to go back and forth on volume. Also the discs are stacked on top of one another without protection so I'm hoping I won't run into problems with that as I finish each disc. Top disc starts out with Godzilla 2000 which isn't at all near the beginning of the series, but I can't find markings on the discs to show me an order. But the price was good and the picture quality seems fine.

My grandson is 7 and is totally involved with dinosaurs.They are his favorite theme now .I wanted him to see what our generation had for dinosaurs. Godzilla, Mothra, etc . These are quality classic movies . We gave him this DVD and A box of movie time popcorn for his birthday present.He had a lot of expensive birthday gifts, at the end of the day , he was enjoying watching Godzilla and eating popcorn. Perfect gift from the past !

Several recent Godzilla features; all have a pretty girl as one of the heroes. In the set we got, one was a duplicate but a minor problem.
