I got a sample from Norman’s and really loved it. When this one came in, it didn’t smell the same or last as long as my sample did. I was not pleased. So I sent it back.

This is the only cologne I will ever buy. Enchanting soft fragrance. Its like a sublte cloud around me - not a huge fragrance that introduces me before I enter the room. I really love this colognes.

I received a sample of this from the Diptyque website. It's a mix of a vanilla and flowery sandalwood, combined in a very mysterious sophisticated way. I sampled this on my wrists so the review is how it smells on my skin. I personally hate vanilla scents, and at first spritz it was overpowering, but soon faded to a very muted softness. The flowery smell is also slightly more herbal rather than sweet. It reminds me of late summer or early autumn. This scent is not for young girls but rather a woman in her 30s. It reminds me of my grandmother's things from Beijing, but not in the way of an old lady but rather of an older era.This is 3.5 stars for me because it's not something I would wear and not reflective of me but it has a complex and mysterious sophistication so I can appreciate it.
