Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP by Del Destino (500 ml)

This balsamic vinegar is hard to find for a reason. It’s exquisite. I literally drive 500 miles to a restaurant to enjoy it with bread and olive oil...that the restaurant charges for, and I have no qualms about it.

I had been looking for a wonderful basamic vinegar that would complement my flavored oil for bread dip and salad dressing that wasnt overpowered by the oils and remained "balanced" in its own taste. This fit the bill.A foodie friend thought that this was an expensive vinegar but when I told him the price he was surprised at how reasonable the cost was as well.

I've been looking for a Modena balsamic I tasted in a restaurant that we loved! Unfortunately, this isn't it. It tastes OK, but nothing different from other brands in my opinion.

We recently spent a few days in San Francisco, and while there, we had the best meal we have ever enjoyed. I rarely inquire as to the ingredients, however, the olive oil/balsamic dressing on the salad was great, I could have drank the vinegar by the spoonful it was so smooth and pleasant, upon inquiring, I learned it was Del Destino's Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. If you love balsamic, you need to give this one a try!!
