Normally I use Abreva and it speeds up the process to the crust stage but I still have to wait almost a week for the cold sore to go away, but with this ointment, all I've ever had were the tingles... Three applications of this product caused the tingle sensation to stop and the ugly cold sore never came to the surface. It also smells really nice! Good bye Abreva. -Only con though is that it is a bit small, but it's well worth the price. -

This product may appear a bit spendy but it works GREAT in getting rid of cold sores on lips. Apply it as soon as you feel the tingle of the oncoming cold sore. It will cut down the severity of the cold sore and perhaps even prevent it from developing fully.

The tube I got is only about 1/3 full, and the bottom part where the expiration date should be is mangled looking and can not be read. While I was disappointed that the company never responded to me my comment that I got a tube that was less than half full, I do have to say that it really works.

Bought for control of cold sores. Almost immediate results. Have been using for 15 years or more. Don’t use daily, only “as needed”.

Sorry I cannot tell you if this works or not, I had not had a cold sore for years and one morning I woke with my lips swollen and so painful I went to the drug store and bought anything I thought might help, and ordered this, it arrived 8 days later but by then the cold sores were gone. Not hoping I get another one but I will have this on hand if I do. If you are prone to cold sores guess it would be smart to order this ahead of time since usually cold sores last 5 to 7 days.

I have tried everything on my lips to get rid of cold sores, Abreva, camphor, etc. etc. Simply put, Morgans Lysine is the real thing. This stuff works. I now keep a tube in my nightstand, medicine cabinet, purse, car, and toiletry bag for when I travel. The key is to put it on as soon as you feel the first tingle of a cold sore. It is the ONLY thing that has worked. My cold sore goes away immediately. If I catch it too late, then it lasts for about 3 days instead of 14 days. I've struggled with cold sores for over ten years and I've tried everything. When the weather changes, when I get sick, when I'm stressed: boom, I get a cold sore. Morgan's is soothing and moisturizing on the lips and in the five months I've been using it, it's made a huge difference!
