I have just recently been put on a high protein diet and I don’t have much of an appetite. I decided to give tuna a try and that did the trick. So I tried different kinds like pouches and flavors and wild caught yellowfin. Wow in lemon pepper with olive oil that’s a winner. Okay okay now on to the Salmon. I saw this and it was over a dollar more a can but I do like salmon. Now like a lot of you out there, I’m accustomed to the canned salmon with the bones and skin but let me tell ya that ain’t this Lucy. This is smooth but with texture. Buttery and luscious. Lightly salted and tastes of the sea. Where has this been all my life. Although now my curiosity is piqued and I’ll be wanting to try other flavors and preparations I have a feeling that the first half sandwich on 12 grain bread will always be the best one. What can I say “Buttery and Tastes of the Sea” Remarkable!!!!

I used to get this at my local grocery store, but they stopped carrying it. I understand it's more expensive than other types of fish, but for the type of fish and quality, I think the price point is fine. Tastes like boiled salmon. No skin, no bones, no scales, and looks like a chunk from a nice salmon steak.

Complaints about the online price are valid. This purchase is a bad value if you can get your grocer to order by the case. Even if you stock up on singleton cans you will do FAR FAR better on price. On sale this runs as little as 3 dollars a can. The product itself is the best canned salmon on the market in terms of appearance and texture and removal of bones and skin; it makes better salmon cakes and is palatable enough to be eaten plain.

The canned salmon tastes terrible. The “color added” is just icing on a terrible cake.
