Retro Method to Make Great Drip Coffee
Neapolitans were popular in Italy until the moka pot was invented in the 1930s and gradually replaced the older Neapolitans. I used moka pots, which produce a different type of coffee (but not espresso) based on steam pressure. The Neapolitan is a fun way to produce great drip coffee. Like all drip devices, automatic and manual, the water is run through the coffee grounds by gravity. The Neapolitan has a metal filter and doesn't require paper filers. I think this produces a richer brew than my various manual drip devices. I make one change in the coffee making procedure differing from the enclosed instructions. Rather than boil the water in the Neapolitan on the stovetop, I boil water in an electric kettle, add the water to the water chamber, flip the coffee chamber from the top to the bottom and let the boiled water drip from the coffee chamber into the coffee chamber. Sounds complicated, but it isn't. Highly recommended. Update. After fiddling with the Neapolitan for some months, I found a simpler and better way to use it from reading online. Don't boil the water on the stovetop with the whole pot assembled and then try to flip the pot. Boil the water separately in a kettle and then pour the water directly into the filter unit (filled with coffee) and place the empty water chamber on top just to keep the liquid warm. After about 4 minutes, you have great coffee.

Quality coffee takes time
BE PATIENT. I've used this model coffee pot many times and each brew has produced very smooth coffee. Yes, the pot is made of aluminum which is somewhat thin but this is not a major issue. A couple of tips worthy of noting to enhance the flavor are (1) The coffee grind should be fine (not ultra fine nor medium) since the coffee exposure time to the hot water is relatively quick, (2) do not fill the water container to the weeping hole level, under measure slightly, (3) when heating, set the coffee pot assembly in a small pan to protect the handle and to capture any boiling water that might escape, (4) after the water boils, allow the hot coffee pot to sit for a minute before inverting it because ground coffee should be exposed to hot water at about 190 - 200F.

Fantastic product, but wrong picture posted by seller.
Best coffee I've ever had and now my "go-to" morning coffee maker. Two clarifications, however, to clear up some of the misleading reviews elsewhere.First, the pot IS stainless steel, not aluminum as pictured by the seller or as stated by at least one reviewer. It is also very sturdy and durable, and not at all "flimsy" as stated elsewhere. The pot you should be receiving with this order is the one I have pictured with this review.Secondly, it makes 2-3 ESPRESSO-sized cups, which is roughly 1 standard US cup.In conclusion, it's attractive, solidly built, makes great coffee, and makes for a nice Neapolitan ritual in your home.

. I returned it.
Tiny - maybe one cup in reality. Thin without weight, would be easily dented. Cheaply made.

A Lot Smaller Than I Thought
This pot is NOT as reviewed, This pot makes one (1) good cup of coffee or two (2) 1/2 cups. It appears to be built well, the pour spout is the size of a pin hole, it would take you a long time to pour out the coffee. Again, it appeared to be built well.I was looking for a coffee maker like the one I have had for many years, "put the grounds in a filter or no filter, the ground basket sits on the main part of the pot, the top portion is placed on the grounds, the hot water is poured in the top portion, the hot water drains down through the grounds making 5 to 6 real cups of coffee".My old one is also used in camping, it's light weight and easy to clean, great to use when there is no electric available.NOTE: Again, this pot can not make 5 or 6 REGULAR cups of coffee unless you use 1 1/2 shot glasses as your coffee cups.I don't know what I'm going to do with the pot, it will cost more to ship it back which will cut into my refund and/or credit.Amazon recommended a 18v Craftsman charger when I purchased three (3) of Amazon's 18v batteries, the charger was too big for the batteries, I went to return a 18v Craftsman charger, found out it would cost over $14. UPS, which is more than 1/2 of the cost of the charger and the charger only weighted 1.10 pounds.I wish you good luck.

Perfect Cafffe Napolitano
It makes perfect Caffe Napolitano. Remember to cook and then discard several pots of coffee so that the coffee removes the metal taste and conditions the pot (like using peanut oil to condition a wok). For people who are not as skilled at flipping the coffee pot as my grandmother and great grandmother, I suggest boiling sufficient water and then pouring it into the inner tube coffee container that holds the coffee (which should already be placed on the bottom part of the pot) so that it just has to drain down without flipping. Of course, you should place the top part of the pot over the inner tube Coffee container so that the Coffee remains hot. I put it on the stove at a very low temperature while it is draining so that the coffee comes out hot.

Classic Way to Make Coffee Italian Style.
Make Italian Coffee that is rich ,but not bitter. I love coffee from a Moka Pot, but you need good beans ground just right. The Neapolitan Flip pot is much more forgiving. This is an aluminum model, but I don’t find much difference in the coffee from a Stainless Steel model and this. At the office I have no burner for a Moka pot. Put their is a hot water spout , so just fill the bottom and flip. Perfect for a latte or Americano.

ottimo prodotto

Best stove top coffee maker ever
I have been looking for this stove top coffee maker to replace my mother-in'laws original coffee maker that is over 50 years old. This maker makes the best Italian style coffee.
