Great quality shellac.
I’d recommend getting a cheap coffee grinder and grind the flakes up before adding it in your alcohol solution. That way you can have the flakes dissolved in an hour or two tops. I love the way my project is turning out with using this shellac! Great stuff!!

Perfect antique color
I used the Dewaxed Orange Shellac Flakes to restore an antique wood dough bowl. As you can see in from the photo, this is the perfect color. I didn't have to use very much. It was easy to use and dried quickly. If you're looking for something to restore a dough bowl, this is the right color.

Great Product
I have used shellac flakes from JE Moser and Woodfinishing SUpplies (now defunct). Both were fine. The WellerMart flakes come packaged much better (except JE Moser's, which comes in a plastic "jug"). These come in a heavy duty plastic bag, clearly marked (dewaxed orange shellac flakes, in my case). The price is much lower than others, but the flakes look to be of equal or better quality. They look clean and pure. I have not opened the bag yet as I'm still using up the remaining flakes from a different supplier. Now..... the beauty of WellerMart is they provide instructions with their flakes. I don't need instructions - I've been using shellac flakes since the early 90's - BUT!... it's a very nice compliment to their product. Included in the instructions are your mix ratios for the pound cut you want to mix. I'm very happy and I'll use WellerMart from here on out unless something changes that is not for the better.

This is the first time I've done this. I used denatured alcohol and the flames dissolved well.
I liked how the shellac applied. I used it instill saw projects.

Excellent color. Easy instructions.
Easy to prepare and use. Dissolves quickly because of the size of the flakes.
