Blazer International195C48AW LED Strobe Beacon with Magnetic Base, Amber

Very good product for the price. Probably worth a little more than advertised price. I am a night security gaurd at an RV resort. I put it on the roof of my and can be seen .25 of a mile plainly. Its bright enough to definately be seen. As I patrol through the park residents tell me they can see me from almost all areas of the park. (200 sites). The magnet has a strong hold and dosent mar my car. The shipping was as promised. The only issue is that they advertise 64 LED s and thier are only 32 LED s. The difference is ok with me but think about how many you really need. To me the 32 is just fine. As I say avery nice product. I use it and depend on it everyday. Will order another one to keep on hand.

It is great!!! I like to use it all the time... It is very bright at night, and can be seen from far distances... But during the day time it isn't as bright. I would strongly recommend using another light with this one during the daytime though. It also has a strong magnetic base, and on the highway, it doesn't move a micrometer :).

...but you get what you pay for.Like others have said, this is really not bright enough on a sunny day. In fog, dusk, night time it is fine. Build quality seems to be pretty good. I did have a snap on cover pop off the switch/plug when I hit it with something, but it popped back on easily enough.If this thing were as bright as the "big boy" beacons, I would go 5 stars.

This strobe beacon is on the cheaper end of whats out there, so you can't expect to get something wildly great. Though, for what it is, it's good. The cord a fair distance. The on/off button switch on the plug adapter is a nice feature to have for someone who would use this a lot and leave it plugged it. Unfortunately, during the day the strobe can only be seen effectively from 5-10ft away, but further than that, it is difficult to see it. At night though, it it quite visible and it does the job it needs to do. I purchased this for use on top of my tractor's cab for when plow the driveway in the winter, especially at night, so I have it permanently mounted to my cab with the included bolts and nuts. Other reviews say the magnets don't hold at highway speeds, for the average person, that is fine, they can take it off the car when not using it. For someone who uses it a lot or for a pick up truck for plowing, or construction site, it would be best to upgrade to a more industrious strobe beacon, that can be more effectively seen during the day and remain on vehicle at highway speeds.For my application for what I need to use it for, it is just perfect. I mean, I don't need a $100 mini light bar for a tractor.The only downfall I had is, the product description says this is Model C48AW, which is the model it says it is on the item I got. The problem is, the description said it is supposed to have 64 LED's, when I opened the one I received, it only had 36 LED's. I'm an easy going guy, and for my application 36 LED's is fine. I talked to Jinky at Amazon Customer Support, and I explained this problem to her. After only about 1 minute of looking into it, she told that she sees the description shows 64 LED's. At that point she was able to offer me 3 options, a refund for the product and I could send it back to Amazon, she could look into the problem more, and see if the warehouse made a mistake, or since I was okay with only having the 36 LED's, she could offer me a partial credit of the product so it was like I paying to get 36 LED's instead of the full price for 64 LED's. I chose option 3 of course.I was extremely pleased with Amazon's support and their willingness to make the customer happy. I just hope that, if the product indeed is only supposed to have 36 LED's that, the description is updated. If you decide to buy this strobe beacon, I suggest that un unscrew the amber cover and check how many LED's there actually just to be sure you get what you paid for, or that you only pay for what you received.

You'd never believe you could get such great value for such a low price...but it's true. After reading Amazon reviews on every single one, I gave this baby a whirl. Let me tell you, it's simply grand! I almost bought a similar one for $150 at a truck accessory store. When not in use, it takes next to no space in the back of my seat in the regular cab. It flashes constantly, magnets are strong, and saves you MONEY.

Bought this for my son that recently got a rural mail carrier job. Guess what? Plugged it in and it DOES NOT EVEN WORK !!!!!! Is there any type of refund for a brand new strobe light that will not work the first time it is plugged in? Before you think it is a problem with his cigarette lighter, NO, it is NOT! He has been using a light that belongs to the USPS until I bought this one for him when he runs routes in different districts. Please advise what to do. THANKS!!

Since WI requires a flashing Amber light if we have a plow mounted on a utv my search on Amazon came up with a tear drop design and the Blazer. I chose the Blazer because of it's reviews. For the price it was exactly what I needed.The UTV I have is a Kawasaki Mule 610 and does not have a flat metal surface on the top so the magnets did not grip the roll bar as hard as on a flat surface. I have a cab on my Mule and that prevented me from attaching a safety cord to the light. I thought the magnets, which would be plenty strong if I was attaching it to a truck top, would be ok and suffuciently grab the roll bar through the canvas cab top. Well the light fell off when I was snow plowing over and over into a bank. I didn't notice because I could not see from in the cab. I did notice I was running over something with my back wheel as I went back and forth. Than it dawned on me. Well I got out expecting to see it smashed to pieces and found only some for the plastic flange had broken off and the wires were almost severed. Well a little soldering and than mounting with a piece of flat metal undernneath sandwiching the canvas between the magnets and the metal plate and I was back in business. Just like new!

Nice and bright! This strobe beacon is large and starts right up as soon as it's plugged into the cigarette outlet. It has a good strong magnet to hold it securely to the hood of the car (or anywhere that's metal.) A great idea when it especially foggy or any time visibility is an issue. Also a great way to be seen if your car has stranded you on the roadside and the tow truck is on it's way. "I'm the one with the yellow strobe on his roof" is a much clearer description for when you call in for assistance. I bought this along with the Grote 71422 Triangle Warning Kit, so I WILL be seen if ever stuck on the highway after dark.

These are 'good enough' they dont hold a candle to the industry leaders like whelen, FedSig and Code 3... But those beacons start at $100 or more... This isnt something you'd want to use for a plow truck or a pilot car. They arent bright enough or have patterns to grab your attention. This is only a stopgap light or something you'd give contractors to put on thier vehicle when visiting a jobsite. They have only a sinlge flash mode roughly 90 flashes per min.

Buen tamaño, algo pequeña pero visible.
