Wharfedale Diamond SW-150 Subwoofer White

Due to only having space for bookshelf speakers, I decided to add a subwoofer to give a little more depth to the bass.All I can say is 'WOW' this sounds fantastic, great depth even at lower volumes, this is where most of my listening is done. My bookshelf speakers only push bass at higher volumes. Obviously as I live in a flat, that's not possible 95% of the time.The subwoofer came extremely well packaged, an outer box and then the manufacturers box. Considering it's small overall size, this is a heavy item. Setting up was easy, it allows for a single subwoofer cable to the left input, this I only found out by reading the manual.I know it needs to be 'run in', but straight out of the box is sounds superb.Highly recommend this product.

This is my first sub connection on my hifi system, it is connected to a Marantz model 50 amp along side B&W 603 speakers.The low end it produces is great for my set up, I am using a standard single chord C-line RCA interconnect for its connection as I had a couple spare. I don't have a massive room so for this size and price it was a no brainer compared to more expensive alternatives. Really easy to set up, just needs a little tweaking with volume so its not over powering the main set, the finish on these is great, also has fitted rubber feet. I like the white as it matches the other speakers.There is a slight electrical hum when connected to the mains, this is before any other cables are connectedso it is not interference from other cables,Thankyou AV online for a great item and lightning deliveryUPDATE.Av online swapped out this unit for another which is silent….thanks again 👍

I love it. I like that I could choose a white cabinet but no remote means I have to switch it off at the source when not being used. Far as I know there’s no standby.

I have been into high quality Hifi for over 35yrs. I have a Rotel A14 amplifier T14 streamer and a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 200 loudspeakers. I needed a sub to fill those very low frequencies so was looking at the Rel and Monitor Audio as I didn’t want to ruin the good sound I had spent good money on achieving. I wanted a white sub to compliment the other components. Bought the Wharlfedale and I’m super impressed. Set the cross over to 55Hz volume is not even at 25% used low level cables from my stereo pre outs. Also in the last 12 months I’ve tried 4 Kef 1 Q Acoustic and 1 revel subwoofer all much more expensive than the Wharlfedale but honestly the Sw150 blows them out the water. £150 you definitely are not going to get a better sound I reckon it will hold its own against £400 subs. If thinking about buying this sub just go for it you won’t be disappointed.

I purchased this for a room that previously had only in-ceiling speakers, which inevitably lack bass power and can produce sound that is a bit tinny. The audio quality before and after installation is like night and day: the subwoofer adds a richness and clarity to the sound - everything now sounds fantastic. I would highly recommend this product. It's great value, with a good low frequency response, easy installation, and an aesthetic design (also a reasonable size so it can be hidden behind furniture).

I actually thought for the price i might be missing out on maybe a better more expensive sub but i took a chance on the reviews. I'm so glad i did as for a small living room this sub is superb and has improved my listening experience massively. Individual bass notes are there and not just a mush of lower frequency which was what i was getting from my old tannoy FX sub. If someone told me this sub was £400 i would have believed them it really is that good! Don't spend a fortune until you try this out. Save some money for the utility bills 🤣

Well for the price I can not fault it. Once set up correctly, it does sound quite punchy. No distortion and does sound good when playing movies. This is part of a Dolby Atmos setup, with a configuration of 5.2.2, so two subs for me. I purchased this in the colour white, so to match my other speakers within my setup. Pleased with purchase and does the job.

This subwoofer really delivers deep powerful, room filling bass. Makes my small bookshelf front speakers sound like big floorstanders. A great buy. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to add more bass in their music system for a reasonable price.
