John Wayne Legacy Collection (DVD)

We love collecting movies and found this collection to be a great one of John Wayne's movies. All played great in our Blu-Ray DVD player.

UPDATE: We have now watched all the movies and had absolutely no problems with them playing properly. And, we have come up with a title we'd never seen before that has made to onto our favorite JW movies list - the 1973 film "The Train Robbers", so this purchase was a definite win!OriginalWe have enjoyed John Wayne films for many years and have seen most of these titles, so the movies are 5* just because.We've watched 2 of the 20 films in this DVD collection, and both have played perfectly - no pixelating, etc., which hasn't been the case with a number of other DVDs we've purchased. The plastic case is stamped with "disc made in Mexico."My one complaint is with the actual listing for this item: there is no place to contact the seller or to ask a question of those who have previously purchased, so I had to contact Amazon (big groan). I had wanted to be sure these were in English, since it was listed as "dubbed English" and didn't list English as the actual language. We've been burned before with this, but so far, so good.

This is a very good collection . I already have about a third of these movies. I would say that these are "repacked from original single movie packing. The disc art work is the same as the original release on the single disc sets, some disc's say disc one (original release had 2 disc's). I have watched 80% of the movies so far. This is a good selection of 20 movies, ten movies in each clam shell which are then in a box sleeve. One clam shell was broke, but it is not worth sending back. These are all first rate movies no early movies that are only used for filler .I have compared these to the copies that I already have and they are the same. This set will cost you $1.50 per movie . THIS SET IS A STEAL BUY IT WHILE YOU CAN.

After much searching, this is the best collection of my favorite John Wayne movies that I could find. I'm not a movie critic so the acting, filming, etc. doesn't mean much to me. It's John Wayne! Consider when the movies were made and appreciate them for what they are. I would much rather watch the movies in this collection than the crap that is out there today. Wish I could find as good of a collection of my other John Wayne favorites. If you are a John Wayne fan, you can't go wrong with this collection.

If you like John Wayne westerns, this is a wonderful collection. It includes several films directed by John Ford; they were always the best. The CDs all played without a glitch. However! This box is the absolute worst of multi-CD packing and storage as four CDs out of 19 will stay in position. The rest are rattling around loose in the case, and I'm afraid they will be damaged in a short time. A big multi-set should treat its contents with more respect.

this set is excellent, it was a gift for my husband and he is absolutely loving it
