The Simpson Strong-Tie epoxy injection system has been used successfully in the construction industry for well over a decade. I've used both, the Simpson epoxy injection and the Crack-Pac Flex-H2O system. I used the Crack-Pac Flex-H2O to repair four cracks in my basement to prevent water intrusion. So far, the system is working as advertized for up to four years. I used the polyurethane for the crack injection because water was present in the cracks, and I didn't need a structural repair. I must admit, the process is a bit messy, and the cracks in my basement look yukky, but the look isn't important in the location as they'll be covered up. When injecting the polyurethane, when oozed out anywhere, it was because I hadn't covered the areas with enough of the surface coat epoxy. Good thing is that a little ooze isn't a problem for a successful crack repair (aesthetics notwithstanding). Excellent surface prep is important, as is following the instructions. If the area of repair is visible, and the end result is a sensitive issue, I'd recommend two things: talking with the Simpson Tech Support folks--they are absolutely terrific--and consider having the repair done by someone who has made many such repairs.

Make sure you read the instructions thoroughly and take note of other feedback in the reviews. It’s messy, fast acting, and if your conditions are ideal, it will go sideways quickly. Make sure you prep the work thoroughly and think through each step. Be sure to seal any area you may have leakage or it will all just leak away. Cover anything you don’t want to get the fluid glued to. Wear gloves and glasses.

Working so far on a large 8 ft crack in our foundation. Buy the extra package if you have a big crack, we were glad we did.

With a choice between epoxy and urethane, I would choose urethane every time. You can never be sure the epoxy has completely filled the crack even if it does come out of all the ports. With urethane though as soon as this stuff hits moisture it srarts foaming and completely fulls the crack. Great stuff. But you do need the complete kit - ports and the injection tube. DON'T try to do this without.

Works wonders! We had a 1/2 inch vertical crack in our basement wall and this sealed the wall and eliminated all leaks.
