Fine English Bone China Mugs - Set of Two - Viola or Pansy Chintz - Adderley China of England

Viola or Pansy Chintz fine bone china mugs by Adderley China of England. Lovely mugs! I prefer to drink tea from mugs with thinner walls than earthenware or porcelain mugs and these have a delicate "feel". I didn't think I'd like the handles (I usually get mugs with smooth curved/rounded handles) but the shape of the handles on these actually fit better in my hand; my fingers fit comfortably around the contours of the handle and provide me with a more secure hold than I can get on my smooth-curve handled mugs. The print is very pretty, the decals were applied evenly. I am extremely pleased with these mugs and hope to purchase more in the future.

I was disappointed in the size of the cups. It was advertised as 12 ounces but it barely holds 10 ounces!!

The cup is larger and the walls of the cup are thicker.

Just wish it came in a decorative box... would have made a difference to my overall impression, as the were my 1st set from England. Another Chinese brand had beautiful cups and gift box!
