Fireline -- One of the Strongest and Thinnest Beading Threads
It's funny, but I used Fireline before it was recognized as a beading thread! My husband is an avid fisherman, so I would "borrow" his line from time to time. (And of course now he sometimes "borrows" mine!) Fireline is a very, very strong "thread". It's also very thin for its strength, which is a big plus. especially when using a size 12 needle, and making multiple passes through beads. Fireline also does not stretch, which is another plus -- I don't want to be making jewelry only to have the design warp out of shape after awhile, especially if I have used heavy beads. There is one caveat to this thread -- it's a little stiff, as opposed to having a lot of drape. It's absolutely fantastic when doing beading stitches that take a bit of effort to control tension, like some of the spiral stitches or right angle weave. What it's not great for is fringes -- it does not drape and move well for that application (regular beading thread is better for fringe work). If you want your beadwork to hold together through thick and thin, I highly recommend Firelne. While the price here on Amazon is fairly competitive in the beading market, you can get a better deal if you buy the kind marketed as fishing line -- you just have to buy it in larger spools. Best wishes for your beading! :)

Incredibly fine, incredibly strong
I'm newer at making jewelry and have been experimenting with a lot of different products. I've bought silk thread, nylon thread, several varieties of clear, wire, beads, glues, etc. This year alone I've invested about $1,000 in products. So I may not yet be a jewelry wizard, but I'm discovering what works and what doesn't. I love FireLine now for making Chan Luu style wrap bracelets! The thread is nearly the same diameter as human hair and blends in well with darker colored leather cord because of its size. I did not think there was any possible way it was strong enough to hold, but no matter how hard I pulled with my hands it didn't break. My NFL sized husband wrapped thread around his hands and pulled on it and said "dang that hurt my hands" lol - but it didn't break. Also I was able to tie very, very small knots without them coming undone like the other clear quilting type thread I used. I have not yet tried to use crimp beads with this product, but that will be soon. I'm sure they'd have to be tiny. I can't see how you could go wrong using this for beading projects unless the diameter doesn't work. Looks like FireLine offers numeous sizes though. Adding this to my list of staples.

Great stuff!
This thread is really strong. I use it to tie off the bracelets I make and it needs to hold on tight. I've never had a failure with this thread, it always does the job. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a really sturdy and strong thread that's easy to work with. This, for me, is a great buy and I will continue to buy it whenever I run low.

Works great for the tiniest of seed beads
I'm not sure what others were referring to when they said that this product was too thick for certain beads. I used this with the tiniest of seed beads and was completely able to pass through them and even re-weave loose ends. It was thin enough. Time will tell how it holds up in strength. It is clear which is a plus. I only gave it a 4 star review because I want to see how it holds up after the bracelets are worn in the real world and not just how it works on the loom, which is great.

Durable and easy to use
I like this thread. Extremely durable for a 4lb string. Didn't tangle up easily like the 6lb threads. That was a plus. Great to use on light colored seed beads!

INCREDIBLY STRONG!
This stuff is incredibly strong (can't break it with my hands!) and nearly invisible. I'm using it for stringing glass beads in an outdoor lawn sculpture.water feature and I suspect it will last nearly forever unless it's UV-susceptible. The price can't be beat. I've got way more than I'll ever use, but I'm sure I'll come up with lots of uses, such as stringing beads and lashing things together. For a handyman or crafts person, this is nice stuff to keep around.

This has become my favorite
I prefer this to thread blends. It doesn't tangle as much and it's much stronger. And if you make a mistake in your bead work, it's easier to unbead than thread blends. I love this stuff, it works perfectly for my jewelry making.

Hat seinen Preis....
....ist aber der beste Perlenfaden überhaupt. Hoffe, dass man ihn noch lange bekommen kann.

Great for beading.
A very useful beading thread that is fine enough to make multiple passes through beads/crystals and does not get cut through easily by sharp edges. Very useful.
