The Fundamentals of Ethics

Book was as advertised.

Book delivery was on time, in good condition as promised.

A short but thorough and thoughtful book. This is one of the best ethics texts I have ever seen. The author is evenhanded and to the point in describing each different ethical theory, including pros and cons. It should be in the hands of every student of moral philosophy and on the shelf of every philosophy professor.

Completely useless when it’s missing pages that I didn’t even realize were missing until I was assigned to read the pages that I didn’t have. Totally unacceptable.

Gives you the whole picture of ethics in a nicely summarized book. Highly recommended!

An approachable summary and survey of ethical thought. How we clearly biased towards ethical pluralism and prima facia duties. Also doesn’t know what atheism is — equivocates it with anti-religious sentiment.

Required University reading. ( bring Tylenol )

I bought this book to supplement study on an undergraduate course.It has been very useful and explains complex theories well.The general structure is good in that it is broken into small parts.The theories flow logically through the book.Examples used to explain the theories are clear.Each chapter has some cases for reflection and discussion points arising from that.Extensive glossary (very useful).References are not extensive but a larger section on additional reading which is useful.The author has a clear way of explaining concepts. It was so good, I could not put it down - which is not always the case for a philosophy text.Very glad I purchased this.
