This is an exceptional version of Ras-El-Hanout. While there are endless mixtures which go by the name (with just as many flavor profiles) this blend is far superior to many I have tasted. There is the requisite heat plus the warming, complex mix of many exotic spices that completes this specific blend for an alluring, exotic culinary experience. Fresh and aromatic, I keep this blend on hand at all times. A must for Moroccan tagines, North African curries and Middle Eastern fare. Extremely and highly recommended.

What this does for lamb!!!!
Not sure it should be legal. We put this --and a few other spices I won't share here--on some lamb chops and just fried them. They were AMAZING. This spice tastes pretty hot by itself, which makes it a bit hard to figure out how a blend with it and other spices is going to turn out. The end result, strangely, was not hot at all. Since I like spicy, I would usually have been disappointed, but this was so good, I did not even CARE. Seriously--you have to try this. I ordered two other spices at the same time, neither of which will be getting a GOOD review.

Excellent spice blend.
Very nice spice blend for Moroccan cuisine. Heavier turmeric aroma, but it works wonderfully in a recipe. Great value for what you get.

Nice flavor but too spicy
This blend of Ras El Hanout is hot. I like spicy food, but my wife does not. It would have been nice to know that this was a hot blend. That being said it has a nice flavor and you get a lot for the price. We will stick with the more expensive Spice Way which is not hot.

Great product
Thank you for providing a great product that so many Moroccan recipes call for. I didn't want to buy all the separate spices to make it myself, because of the cost to do so.

Super hot
Why does it have to be so hot? Pretty sure traditionally it isn't supposed to be hot. My family cannot enjoy this stuff. Was hoping to cook them morrocan food but this stuff has too much of a kick. Also the seal on the bottle was rather weak. Doubt it kept the seasoning from oxidizing faster. I should have paid more from a company that actually knows what they are doing.

I am a little disappointed with this blend
I am a little disappointed with this blend. I have been buying it in France (where I live part of the time) for years, where North African spices are easy to find, and I never came across Ras El Hanout of spicy variety (I usually buy it either from ethnic shop or from a spice merchant at the farmers market). I have also eaten numerous times in Moroccan restaurants in France, and the dishes where Ras el Hanout is used (liek couscous) are usually not spicy. I understand that it is a very complex spice mix, and there is no specific recipe for it, but I found Angelina's spice blend way too heavy on hot peppers (even though I like spicy food). I am used to use Ras El Hanout abundantly in dishes, and this one you can barely add a teaspoon to keep the heat at bay. The overall flavor is ok, it is a very good deal for the price, and I will certainly find the ways to use it.

Great spice blend
Ras el Hanout is a versatile Moroccan spice blend that can be used for marinading meats (with a little oil and vinegar, maybe some crushed garlic), making stews, or just mixed with olive oil (and maybe a little crushed garlic) for dipping bread. You can find many recipes that use it with a google term like "ras el hanout lamb recipe". Note that it is sometimes spelled "ras el hanoud", so you can find even more using that.I first found this at the famous (and expensive) spice market in Istanbul. This blend from Angelina's is nearly as good. Note that there is no one recipe for this spice blend, and there are many private recipes with a good deal of variation.
