Really nice, much better taste and texture than canned options. Nice to have in the cupboard for when you don't feel much like cooking.

Love this stuff, I mix it in with eggs, tortilla chips, and jalapeño for the perfect breakfast burrito.

So disappointed with the beef version of this chilorio from the Chata brand. I've purchased the chicken, turkey and pork varieties several time and they are great for a quick, easy to fix meal on a busy day. Plus it is perfect to have on hand in case of emergencies or for camping. My family really likes the pork for tacos so I even have it on automatic shipments through Subscribe & Save. I added a case of the beef chilorio to my subscription and it is nothing at all like the others. I don't know if I received part of a bad batch or what, but this is definitely not worth buying at any price. I don't know how this would have passed any sort of quality control. There is roughly 1/6 cup of meat (maybe about 1 1/2 ounces, equating to less than one serving) in each pouch and the rest is some sort of tasteless broth. This doesn't even come close to matching the product description or pictures (it is supposed to be four servings) and I now see that I am not alone in this assessment. I felt confident ordering based on my experience with Chata's other products, but with about $40.00 wasted (I ordered a case of 12) I sure wish I had checked the poor reviews before ordering.

Look. It all depends on what you expect. I've tried a couple of products from Chatta. I've tried the pulled pork and the refried beans with chorizo cheese. They are tolerable. If you expect processed food to belike mom just kicked it out of her oven, you're going to be disappointed. If you are using products like these for everyday cooking.....Flat out, you are wrong.If I came off 15 miles on the trail and warmed these products up over a portable stove with some crackers, I'd be in heaven. If you've never eaten processed food in a pouch when you're hurting cold, wet, and/or exausted then you really can't accurately review these products.It's food in a pouch, people. I gave the products across the board a 4 star rating. It could be seasoned better. It's not perfect. It does what it's supposed to do.

Purchased one bag previously from a local grocer and found these comparably priced from Amazon. Shelf stable meat products are a gamble but I bought one locally and loved it. There is enough in each packet to feed two comfortably. The meat texture is really impressive ranging from shreds to larger chunks. Flavor is great, just a little spice kick. I've used mine for making tostados and street tacos, with some ingenuity and a few extra ingredients you could make enchiladas or pozole.

Repeat buyer here. Good product for tacos at home. Any left overs are scrambles with eggs and you're ready to go!!!

Taste was quite bland, and the consistency seemed to be almost pureed. Kids didn't even care for it mixed in Mac & Cheese. Gave it to the dog. She's not as picky as the kids.

I mixed it with jalapenos, onions, tomatoes and salsa to make a machaca dinner. It was damn bueno!

I really wasn't sure about this product. However curiosity got the better of me and I had to order it. My son and I made taco's with it and they were great. I have increased the number of units I have on my "subscription" service so that we can have this more often.

Estaba un poco escéptico respecto a al sabor que podría tener el producto, pero la verdad es que sabe como una Cochinita preparada en casa, gran sabor. No es excesivamente grasoso como me parece que lo es el producto en lata. Buen precio, el producto rinde unas dos porciones.

I really like these for camping. Taste is good, though maybe a touch greasy. Packaging is great for packing in a food barrel for later in the trip. Makes great tacos.
