Valve orifice much less than hose size.
A good valve, well constructed and seems it will go the distance in sturdiness. The one drawback would be that the actual valve orifice is slightly less than 3/8 inch. So, basically no matter how big you garden hose is, either 1/2" or 3/4", the flow at any specific pressure will be far less through the valve than the ability of the hose to deliver as far as gallons per minute.That said, the city water pressure at my house at around 80 psi is adequate to provide a decent flow through the valve with a 75 foot hose. I would imagine that if I were to add another extension hose with also another valve, the flow would be seriously reduced.

The brass version of this valve way outperforms the plastic versions which will always leak.
