Renegades Series 3 Books Collection Set by Marissa Meyer (Renegades, Archenemies & Supernova) Paperback – 1 Jan. 2020

My granddaughter really likes this book.

Brilliant, this is aimed at 15 year olds but I'm 19 and really liked it, it has the found family troupe like six of crows has, there's no spice which makes it pure. It's slow burn and you get excited when a hand gets hold. It's also undercover superhero stuff but that's done pretty well.

Just what my niece wanted for her birthday

I’m happy I finally read Renegades! It’s definitely young adult but it was a fun superhero dystopian read. I liked that we have duel pov of two characters on different sides of it all. I liked that Nova grew up with the villains and we get to see that both sides are just people. Some worse than others but you can’t classify either as evil or not. The renegades are flawed and the villains just want to be free. (Well, not all of them, revenge is tempting after all). I enjoyed the undercover aspect and seeing Nova navigate this and to see the renegades from both her pov and from the son of two council members. It’s all about perspective.I liked all the side characters - though some I liked to hate - and the story was full of excitement and kept me invested as I was reading. It was fun to read something that was such a classic superhero vibe but with the world having been run and broken down by the ‘villains’ and being in the process of being put back together by the very superhero’s who first saved it. I did guess the twist but I still liked the reveal and I will be reading the sequel at some point as I’m intrigued to see where the story goes!
