Got my index finger sucked into a bench grinder. Luckily still have the digit but it took a huge chunk out and was bleeding profusely. Thank goodness I had this close by because it was a proper gusher! No amount of pressure or regular gauze would stop the bleeding. I was also home alone with my baby and wouldn’t have been able to get to urgent care before things got rough. Pressed it on and the bleeding stopped within 30s. I wish they’d make it a bit more affordable but it’s a great thing to have in a first aid kit.

Great addition to the trauma kit

I discovered this stuff about a month ago. It’s amazing so I want all my friends to know about it. In my opinion QuikClot gauze should be in every family’s first aid kit.My 13 year old son has Von Willebrand disease and frequently has heavy nosebleeds that last 30-45 minutes. Typically he gets them in clusters which can amount to several hours of bleeding over the course of a few days. About a month ago I had to take him to the ER because he had one at school that lasted 45+ minutes and then started up again a little while later. The ED nurse gave me a small packet of this new product, a gauze treated with kaolin which activates clotting. This stuff is absolutely incredible. It has stopped several of his heavy nosebleeds in a minute or less—I am not exaggerating when I say that a 3x3” piece of this (cut into 1/2” pieces) has spared my son from hours of bleeding and without the side effects of his VW medication (risk of seizures so he has to limit fluids for 24 hours after using).I was so excited to find it on Amazon! It might seem a little pricey, but you can cut it into smaller pieces and just use what you need depending on the situation. I expect this to last us awhile.

Used it in a pinch and it works very well. Wish it was more affordable so I can keep a pack of this everywhere just in case (work, home, car, etc). Would buy again when we need it. Great for emergency first aid kits. Stopped small bleeds (too big for bandaid) right away.

Great stuff have not had to use it thankfully but now part of my urgency supplies when traveling in the outback!

Lightweight, easy to add in to any first aid kit. Thankfully have not needed to use it, but feel more secure having it with us on backpacking trips, when help is quite a ways away!

My hubby’s on a blood thinner so when he cuts himself it’s difficult to stop the bleeding. I used this and put a bandage over it and the bleeding stopped no visit to urgent care needed.
