KILZ TRIBUTE Paint & Primer, Interior, Color Sample, Trinket, 8 Ounces

First, I am a lazy painter. I don't do all the prep work for a great paint job. I don't wash the walls, I don't use painter's tape, etc. There's a reason I bought primer and paint in one. This was the best paint I have ever used. It's the consistency of honey. It covers most things in one coat. I bought bright white and it covered the walls in one coat; took 2 coats to cover dark brown. I was also touching up other paint and had to use paint from another manufacturer. It was a "high hide" paint and it didn't hide anything. So after 3 coats of the PPG paint to cover grease on the walls from cooking, I used one coat of the Kilz and then went over it with the PPG paint and it looked perfect. I really appreciated the peel and stick color samples. I could really tell a difference between the shades of white. Their descriptions are very accurate. I had never seen blue tint in white before. The white I purchased was prefect for walls and ceiling. I bought 5 gallons and still have 4 gallons left after painting walls and ceilings in 2 rooms. Going to use it on the kitchen cabinets next. You will be thankful for trying this paint.

I ordered Nomad's Trail in Eggshell finish. It's a beautiful, bold yet neutral medium gray. When applied, it looks nearly identical to the photos in the product description. I used it on the accent walls, with Kilz Tribute Wind Chime (a light almost white silver grey) as the main color and Kilz Tribute Ultra White for the ceiling, trim and doors.I painted this in AZ during the winter: 75 degrees at 16% humidity. A thin coat dried in about 35 minutes.Application was effortless. It reminds me of painting with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. The difference between this paint and lower quality ones (Eg: Glidden) is significant. I found it worth the price difference.I ultimately decided to go with Kilz Tribute because I needed to eliminate the tobacco odor from the last occupants. It worked perfect.

Bought this to paint my living room walls. At first I was skeptical of buying interior house paint on Amazon, but this product proved that skepticism was wrong. The paint showed up at my door in a couple days with no damage, the special box and packaging really protects the paint can inside. The stir stick was a nice surprise. Wish they would also include some type of tool to pry off the clips that secure the can lid.Kilz is known by most people as a really good primer brand, but, it seems to me that knowledge in making quality primers actually translated really well to this product because it is paint + primer all-in-one. In case you didn't know the same company that makes this paint also makes Behr paint that you buy from Home Depot. Seems like great paint to me! I've painted many homes/apartments/walls before, and I found that this paint was a little "thicker" than what I was used to, but in a good, higher quality way. Coverage was phenomenal and in one coat I was done. I've lived with the results for about a month now prior to this review and the living room really looks great with nice even coverage results that show well in all light/times of day.I'm not a skeptic anymore and will not hesitate next time I have a painting project to purchase more of this Kilz Tribute product from Amazon, no more waiting in line at the big box for this guy.

Love this paint! Used for cupboards (instead of chalk paint) in 2 bathrooms & kitchen and absolutely love the results. (Pics attached)Easy prep & clean-up, covered dark wood cabinets nicely. I prefer brush application over a roller and no brush marks seen like often times happens with other paint. I used 2 coats. Will definitely buy again for my sister’s kitchen cabinet project!

Spring cleaning time which for me means time to freshen up an outdoor table and my old, formerly dull pine, farmhouse table.There's something edgy and clean about black furniture, harking back to Shaker furniture, with its minimalistic lines.The paint was packed well, between two sturdy pieces of cardboard, and wrapped in plastic. Somehow, the can I received did have a bump/dent in the lid and I wasn't sure whether to use it or return it.I used it, my tables are gorgeous. I have asthmas and after opening the windows on the one and being outside with the other, there didn't seem to be any unhealthy odor at all.The blackest black, a satin finish, and I love using this, great consistency without bumps and drops.

I can’t say enough about this paint! I was skeptical because I was painting over a darker color with a lighter one but I had read lots of positive reviews and I was painting a small bathroom so I took a chance. Happy that I did!The paint is thick and covers beautifully. It goes on smoothly without any snagging. I honestly felt I could have just done one coat but I did a softer second coat and I love love love it!Now to pick the next gallon for my bedroom!

I was hesitant to try this paint since it is so new but I am very impressed with the quality. The coverage is excellent. I used the contemporary white in matte to paint over medium shade of green in a 1950’s home. It covered in 2 coats. The matte finish is very durable and after waiting about three weeks for it to cure I have tested lightly scrubbing the surface and it holds up. I preferred this paint over Ben Moore’s Regal Select Matte that I typically use, which normally requires 3 coats and can be difficult to work with. I only wish that samples were available in different sheens.

This is an update. The paint is unusable as the half of the content of the can seeped out of the can, and the plastic bag it came in. whis is imposible to work with as I cannot control the flow out of the bag into the pan for roller use.. this is such a dissapointment.. love the color but packaging sucks. this was the second/repeated order.. first time the shipment must have leaked totally.. what a mess. Buy direcly in the store.
