This item arrived with an expiration date of best before 31/01/2014. I received it in June of 2015. I hope you don't expect me to give it a star. It really should be -5 stars.

Absolutely superb!!! Red velvet cake was perfect colour! With all the baking I’ve done, never used food colouring before but I got a quick lesson using this and the watered down supermarket version! Recipe called for 2ozs, this was more than enough! However in future I would always get 2 or more so I have enough for extras like frosting and red velvet truffles.

Worked brillantly for my rainbow bagelsColours used:Maroon red, Orange, Sunny yellow, Pea green, Ocean blue and Regal purple.

This paste is very thick and i used more than i thought i would have to to get the red i was after. It does actually dry darker so was very happy

Bought maroon red to make red velvet cupcakes. Best one yet, it’s very dark and pigmented so you only need half a teaspoon, whereas the other shade (berry red I think) you have to use half a pot

Making a wedding cake I needed a deep red for the buttercream so tried this and I am pleased with the colour I used the entire tub for two tubs of buttercream icing from aldi and got a great colour
