It does the job
I badly needed something to scrape off small quantities of coconut which Ihad just opened. The hand grater arrived quickly and I was able to remove most of the coconut. It look time because it is done by hand. It is ot automatic. Next time I break open a coconut, I will use this unless Ifind a faster way to do it.

Too small and not sharp enough
It would have been nice if this was a bit bigger in size to hold and if it had deeper and sharper edges

Slow, needs powerful grating but decent for the price
My mom only uses fresh coconut so she had me buy this. I tried it on half a coconut and it took a long time just to grate about half of that coconut half. You have to use a lot of your own muscle power to grate the coconut. For the price, it's a decent tool if you only want to shred half a coconut or even 1 coconut AND you have a lot of time, power and stamina.

Just buy your fresh coconut
Either this thing doesn't work well or my coconuts were not good. I have fresh coconuts all around me so I bought this to try to scrape fresh meat to use in cooking. It's really more trouble than it's worth.
