I occasionally sell stuff online on the #bay site and its important to get an accurate weight reading to pay for shipping labels.The Accuteck has a small but very convenient top deck for sitting items, or boxes on, and for letters the plastic base can be raised up to hold a cardboard letter packaging or other item at an angle for easier weighing.Or for odd shaped items like a teddy bear or circular item, raising both of the top deck plates into a "U-shape" is perfect for keeping things from falling off.But by far the best features are the remote, battery operated plug in LCD display that you can have off to the side to get weight in US (lbs/oz) or metric (Kg or grams) as well as the Tare function if you want to use it for weighing cooking ingredients in a bowl or other container.And lastly, for the larger and heavier items, this scale reads up to 110lbs, although frankly, at that weight, I'd probably use a personal weighing scale.Anyway, for the price, you can't beat it. I'm writing this review as an update to my original one from 2016. Yes, it really lasted that long—with moderate use and the occasional rough handling. It finally gave out a few days ago, and as a true testament to its quality, durability, and 98% accuracy, I didn’t hesitate to purchase another one.This scale has consistently been spot-on or very close (within 2%) when compared to FedEx, UPS, and USPS scales over the years.It’s not exactly lightweight, but the solid build makes up for it. The design is what you’d expect from a dependable workhorse. I also appreciate the separate display screen—it’s easy to read (unless you catch glare from certain angles), and because it’s not attached directly to the scale, it doesn’t get blocked when weighing large items.Overall, it’s easy to use, intuitive, and built to last. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone running a small or medium-scale business. It just works—and keeps working.
