Great training tool, and reliable brand
This prong collar works great on my stubborn pittie. I had recently bought one of the same style at Petsmart, but that one continuously came apart whenever my stubborn girl decided to lunge for a rodent or bird -- luckily this one from Titan, the Coastal Pet Easy-On brand, has not failed me yet! The point of this collar is that it removes the pressure point from the front of the neck (right at the windpipe where flat collars can do damage with strong pullers!) - the prong collar distributes the pressure around the entire neck, removing the single pressure point that they naturally push against with flat collars. This is a very effective training tool when used correctly (a slight tug and verbal correction to stop unwanted behavior). The worst thing you can do wiht this tool is get in a tug of war with your pet -- it becomes useless at that point. When your pup misbehaves you need to correct them and not continue on your walk until the dog stops the unwanted behavior...when the pup calms down and submits, then you reward them by continuing the walk and praising them - sounds pretty simple, but I know how challenging it can be! This collar is just one of many tools to try with your pup - it doesn't work for everyone, but is definitely worth a try. I've known lots of people that it has worked magic for because the instant their pup feels the dig of the prongs, their pup never pulls again! Others, the pup could care less about the prongs. It is very important to get the appropriate size for your pup - mine are 45-50 lbs, so the medium collar is great for them - the smaller collar the prongs would be too small and could possibly puncture their skin, the larger collars would not distribute the pressure evenly enough.

FEAR NOT!!!!
FEAR NOT!!!!My wife freaked out when she saw I was thinking about buying this. When I did order this "gift from GOD" she TOLD me to cancel the order. If this is happening to you, do not listen. She will soon praise you!!THIS COLLAR WORKS QUICKLY AND YOU AND YOUR DOG WILL BE HAPPIER!!!! DO NOT HESITATE, BUY IT NOW!!!I would not even consider buying a collar like this. I read about 4 books from dog trainers using positive motivation. So this collar was not even on my radar. But my Staffordshire Terrier would pull me and freak out every time she saw a bike or horse. She also would pull me in the beginning of a walk. I was not enjoying our walks much any more. I started my dog out with a training collar that would almost trip her when she pulled. That worked pretty good, but then I noticed she started walking funny because of the learned habit of walking unnaturally with the training harness. So when I went with a regular collar, she started pulling again. I did not mind at first because sometimes it would help me get up steep hill, but that got old quick. I knew I had to do something different because my dog is strong, and has a mind of her own. I was starting to unlearn everything I learned from the "human" training books on how to train a puppy/dog.So against the best wishes of my wife, I ordered this collar and put it on my dog. I thought she would pull and yelp and that I would feel horrible. I even thought maybe she would pull so hard that I would have to take her to the Vet with puncture holes in her neck and deal with their criticism of being a horrible person. But much to my surprise and delight, none of that happened. My dog just immediately stopped pulling and enjoyed the walk. She was even wagging her tail for most of the walk. I guess she did not read the books about positive motivation...

Works on the first try with my stubborn beagle!
The media could not be loaded. ProsWorks! And it was cheap.I have used it onmy puppy beagle(25lb) for a week and he learned not to pull or lurk the first day.Now he actually wait for me to put on shoes and locks the door before we leave the apartment. I used to have to run to catch up with him. Wish I had purchased it a few months back. He almost ran away when my daughter was walking him!ConsThe quick release strap is not made of best material. I think I will need to replace it in a year. But it's not expensive.Overall it was a great buy.!

Easy on, easy off!! Really works for strong pullers!!
After a year and a half of torture for me and my lab and many different no pull harnesses that did not work. This has made it like I have a totally different dog. I would have rope burn on my hands when I walked her, she would choke herself, she has pulled so hard that pulled her collar off(nightmare BTW). I now don't have to dread walking her! I removed two links which was a perfect fit for her, and they were so easy to remove by hand. The collar is so easy on, easy off. The only thing I would change is make the clasp a little bigger/sturdier. I will definitely purchase again when this one wears out. Highly recommend.

Training miracle- looks cruel but acts kind!
Nicely made, works perfectly. We didn't have good control over our strong and crazy boxer and pitbull mixes on lead. Despite obedience training, once they saw a rabbit or squirrel omg it was like landing a Marlin at sea.Our trainer suggested prong collars would help, as long as we learn the proper way to use them. We were worried that was cruel! But on the usual P (choke) collars or harnesses, the dogs would pull so much they'd cough til they puked, and/or irritated their tracheas where they gagged and coughed for a half hour. On these, our dogs no longer pull during walks, and rarely do they need any correction. I also feel much better if anyone wants to pet them, knowing I can make sure they don't jump up and knock them over. Since I feel in control, I actually walk them more, which in turn helps them behave better, overall. Which makes us love them even more :)Now I do NOT think these are cruel, I think theyre actually kinder!

This collar works!
This collar is the only thing that will control my American Staffordshire Terrier. We have tried all the other collars(vet recommended) but this is the only one she respects. With the others, she is still pulling - even with obedience classes. She isn't scared of this collar - and we only use it for walks.

Warning this horrible seller does not allow refund/exchange even though the ad states that it does
First of all the ad is very misleading as it says "eligable for refund or replacement" but then when you actually try to process a return it says that the product is in fact not eligible for a return. This would not have been an issue if they provided sizing recommendations which they don't so you have to guess and hope for the best. Since I was misled into believing I could exchange it I went ahead with the order of size med. They state some links on the collar can be removed to provide flexibility. When I received the item the size of the individual prongs are HUGE. I think it would be suitable for a horse. On top of this I ended up having to remove 5 links just to make it fit, and in doing this over half the collar consisted of the nylon strap defeating the whole purpose of using a prong collar in the first place. I am utterly disgusted with this company and the fact they would mislead customers in this manner and then not provide an opportunity to exchange for a different size. Do not buy from this seller.
