Worth the extra money.

I was looking to replace my traditional knife block which did not fit my Japanese knives. I wanted a magnetic knife block that was sturdy, attractive, had strong magnets, was double sided, and would hold a ten inch knife. I looked at many on Amazon and other sites, and this one seemed to fit the bill. I was a bit concerned that there were no reviews, but I took a chance and lucked out. Two things sold me on this particular knife block - it was taller than the others and would hold a 10 inch knife and it appeared to be well designed. Note that the vertical magnetic block sits in a groove in the stand and is secured by 3 long screws. This is a much sturdier design than those where the vertical block sits flush on the stand. The fit is very snug - I had to fit one end in and tap it in with a rubber mallet. The screw holes were aligned perfectly. The only problem was that one hole was stripped. I won't take off a star for that. The problem was easily fixed by inserting a wooden match-stick into the hole and then screwing into that. The wood grain and finish are very nice as you can see from the photos. I do recommend this knife rack.

Bought this for my husband & it was his favorite gift at Christmas. The quality is very good. It’s a beautiful wood and pretty heavy. Holds two knife sets that he uses regularly. Looks beautiful on the counter and doesn’t take up much space. Definitely would recommend!

Bel objet (malgré quelques marques dans le bois), stable, semble solide, les aimants ont l’air puissant, les couteaux y tiennent très bien, très bien emballé dans une jolie boîte, livré avec 5 vis dont 2 de rechange et les un tournevis... Bref, ça correspond bien à ce que j’attendais, et le bloc semble quasi parfait. Seul hic, les vis ne se fixent dans rien, et ne servent absolument à rien en l’état ; peut-être y’a-t-il eu une étape oubliée lors de la production ? :)Je vais corriger cela moi-même plutôt que de le renvoyer, mais le produit ne mérite pas 5 étoiles rien que pour cela.

Un excellent produit ! L’aimantage double face tient ses promesses et je peux enfin ranger tous mes couteaux !Génial
