Hold Down Screws Cannot Be Used on Most Sofas
The adhesive is so mild it does not adhere well to the sofa fabric. The hold-down tacks do not work since they are originally made for mattresses and sheets where the screw wire has substance to grip and tighten to. Sofas do not have inches of padding on edges where cats like to scratch, so the screws are useless. The screws cannot grip any layers. The sheets flip open and off the sofa not staying put.

It works!!!
Sooo I was really worried I see one bad review and I’m like omg butttt I did it and I love them I had just gotten new sofas and I have 4 cats so I was in need of something fast it came in a day early! And they stick to my sofa so easy I even moved them so meany times and they still stick! Im definitely buying another set to protect more spots!! Super happy with my purchase!! I didn’t put the little screws in I was going to see how they do without them first and they are so easy to cut for the smaller areas!! I’ll try and update after a few weeks! 🐾🐾🐾🐾

Easy to apply and looks good.
Love it so far, but I wish there were some extra pins. Instead of 48 pins I got 46. Otherwise highly recommended!

Doing the job
These are a good investment. I got these to protect a new couch and my cat isn't scratching it anymore because... he can't. I'm not convinced that these are teaching him to NOT scratch, but they are certainly protecting the couch - which is the point. Not sure if I'll take them off anytime soon (have had them about three weeks), although others have said that the cat learned after a while to not scratch at all.My only real wish is that they were more like a roll rather than individual pieces. I had to use five to go the whole way across the side of the couch. I did cut up a few for smaller places, which was nice. No harm done to the fabric on my couch after I re-positioned them a few times and they're still sticky. I also don't mind that they're not completely transparent - yes, you can tell that they're there, but they look better than the couch being ripped to shreds.Overall, they're a good value and are doing the job!

Works great!
I bought these strips as well as cat claw covers and the strips are working so well that I haven't even needed to put on the claw covers. I put the strips of plastic on the edges of my couch where are littlest cat kept scratching and it has deterred her from scratching there anymore. She has two scratching posts, but always wanted to edges of the couch as well. Now that the couch is covered, she is only using the posts. These were super easy to apply. I cut them to fit how I wanted and just stuck them on. They are staying put really well. They are not peeling off or coming off at the edges. I recommend trying these if your cat won't stay off your furniture. They are really great!!

Saved my new couch
I purchased these when my husband and I had our new couch delivered. We have an older part Main Coon part Siamese who is as gently as can be but every once and a while he decides he needs his claws sharper and bypasses his scratching post and goes straight for the couch. Since he is 23lbs his claws are massive and will rip holes whether he means to or not. These were decently easy to put on and stick pretty well. I cut them in strips and placed them accordingly- sides and lower bottom of the couch. I am sure he could puncture the plastic if he wanted to, but I think he’s too lazy and has left the couch alone! I can see on one spot where he tried and left marks on the plastic but not the couch. I don’t see these lasting forever, but there is enough for spares when they do come off. I would purchase these again.

Beats sticky tape and squirt bottles
I have a 10 wk old kitten who refuses to use her natural wood scratching post. She prefers my new fabric sofa instead. Even though her nails are trimmed it still damaged the sofa by pulling thread out that I had to trim the thread.Water squirt bottles don’t deter cats in my experience and leaves the carpet/floor and furniture all wet and a frustrating experience for the human. Who wants to be walking around with a squirt bottle? Not me!Thought I’d give this product a try. I’ve tried the sticky furniture tape and all that did was leave me i peeling tape from myself and not detecting a cat.I heard the kitten try to scratch on my sofa after putting this up. She didn’t have any luck. She gave up.I also love that it comes with what I call screws to screw down and hold in place the product when you wrap it around a sofa corner such as mine. It’s the same type of screw you use to anchor down your bed skirt to the boxspring so it doesn’t move around after you place the mattress on top. It doesn’t damage the sofa if done carefully.I decided to purchase another.
