What a surprise, when I opened the shipping box. The package looked like a very pricey gift. Inside, every inch was foam protected to ensure safe and secure handling of the gorgeous cargo inside.The quality, beauty, thoughtful innovation, top-tier craftsmanship, style, sustainable sourcing, domestic small business, humongous value, perfect size and thickness, satin feel, multi-usefulness of both reversible sides, such a deal!, are just a few of the reasons why i love this board!I have carefully hidden every one of my previous cutting boards away from view. This one looks quite awesome and Cheffy and has a permanent home on my kitchen counter.Mid-month and month-end will be oil day.I highly recommend this cutting board!

This is the first time I have been literally stunned at the quality of a product I purchased thru Amazon.I am an architect with plenty of cabinetry, paneling, and furniture design experience for homes of the very wealthy. The quality of this cutting board at this price is unbelievable.I would say the I was struck speechless when I opened the (also beautifully crafted) box it arrived in, except for the fact that I could not stop repeating “this is gorgeous”. It is also quite thick and much heftier than I expected.Included are easily understood and beautifully printed directions on how to maintain the cutting board.One thing to be sure to pay attention to is the direction to wash, dry and oil the block on both sides after using it. I know from experience that with wood you have to balance moisture content/porosity on both sides of a piece of wood.The only thing I can add is to say WOW !

Likes: Packaging: The box is beautiful, sturdy and provides safe storage for the cutting board.Dimensions: The size and weight are sturdy and a perfect fit for the countertop. Accommodates the cutting/chopping/slicing needs of the two people I cook for.Juice groove: Circles the entirety of the board edges. Easy to clean as it is a bit wider than it is deep.Charcuterie groove: Good size. Accommodates enough finger foods for two.Easy to clean: A cotton cloth, dampened in very hot water, easily cleans this board. So far, no need to scrub or be aggressive. After air drying a thin layer of food grace mineral oil is rubbed in.Minor disappointment: This beautiful maple board is edge grain, rather than end grain. End grain might be better for the high grade, thinly bladed, knives used on it. No aggressive chopping will be done on this board. That, however, may be best for any board.Recommend: Highly recommend. This is a solid board. Not so heavy it is difficult to move but heavy enough it stays still on the countertop under use. Very easy to clean without scrubbing. It is a perfect size for the needs of two people.

Just received this board and am very impressed with the quality.It is very substantial cutting board that weighs approximately 8 pounds.It is a beautifully designed and, upon my initial use, has exceeded my expectations.The box and packaging is quite elegant and this would make a wonderful gift.

Firstly, let me start off that I liked helping a local business. Second, the box it came it was a nice touch. If you are not a very good gift giver, consider buying from this company and giving one of their boards to someone. The box, I know it sounds silly, was real nice. Just good presentation. Third, and most importantly, the board itself. I read the provided information card well and am taking steps to follow directions. The board I got was large, and provides a great work surface. I had this in mind for replacing smaller boards I had. It has two sides, a nice touch, and I like that it feels very sturdy. It did not move an inch on my counter as I chopped. Again, maybe order a smaller one if needs be, but I like this heavy sturdy side, and know how to properly dry it, and also some basics in care. I have used this board a lot in about 10 days since I bought it and it looks and feels great.Overall I'd heartily recommend this to fill a need as I had for such a nice cutting board.

Beautiful, smooth, well made. Pleasantly surprised with its beautiful, well-padded gift box. The board came preseasoned, and water rolled right off when I first washed it. I wanted to make sure it was very well seasoned before first using it, so I seasoned it with MCT coconut oil (turns out it was still thirsty!) and finished with a homemade cream of MCT oil and beeswax.

I was looking for a gift and am committed to buying American made goods made from American sourced materials. I emailed the owners of the shop who got back to me very quickly, answered my questions and said that their walnut cutting boards are made here from trees grown here in the USA. Even though some of their other products are sourced from and made abroad, I DID want to support an American small business. The cutting board itself is beautiful! The wood grain is gorgeous, the board itself is sturdy and exactly what I was looking for and at my price point. It came in a nice, sturdy box that I gifted it in, which I have to say, was a welcome change, considering so many things I've purchased from Amazon don't come in any kind of box let alone one as presentable as this. I'm thankful that the business owners went the extra mile to consider how their products are presented. I would definitely recommend this board and will purchase from them again.

I gave this gift to my daughter for her birthday in mid August and it has already splintered. I am very frustrated because the window has now passed for a return. I should have listened to others that said the same.
