The media could not be loaded.  I bought this microphone as I needed to do some voiceovers as I digitise my old home movies. First off I was more than happy with the box & packaging, both from Amazon and from the manufacturer. The weight of the microphone was quite surprising, in a good way. It appears to be well made and all the bits fit together as you would expect & there was no wobble whatsoever, which is great.After testing I was happy with the audio quality and how full It sounds. I tested my voice right up close to the microphone while whispering and on play back it sounded almost like I was speaking normally. I also tested my voice at 4 or 5 feet & while speaking normally you could still hear my voice, although I had to speak up as you would expect. I tested the volume button by counting from 1 to 10 and the result was quite smooth. You can use the microphone at different angles but I only need to use is directly.The tripod is compact and designed well as the legs fit together nicely when closed. It’s not very heavy and more than capable of holding the USB Microphone. The legs have a very good spread and are brilliant at keeping the microphone stable.As the microphone requires a 5v supply I wasn’t sure if it would work on my mobile, but it worked perfectly! After recording around 20 minutes of video, and taking a few pics, my phone only used around 3 percent of its battery power, which is very impressive to say the least...! The USB Cable is nice and long and the fitment of each end of the cable is solid and true, which is a bonus.In conclusion, this is a good microphone that works out of the box, which is always good. As I said, its good quality, I would say studio quality to be honest, and has a good weight to it & I can see myself still using it in years to come; I think it’s good value for money.

If you have computer without a microphone then this is a good way to go. Even works for laptops. Using built-in laptop audio interfaces often means that recordings and online communications are accompanied by self noise from the electronics surrounding the chip. With this USB microphone you get a good quality, low latency external audio interface with a microphone. The benefit is a much lower amount of self noise, almost inaudible, and a microphone that can be more flexibly placed in your workspace.The body of the mic is a lightweight alloy that feels solid. The grille is metal with an internal foam pop shield that protects the capsule from turbulent air leaving the mouth. Don’t get too close though or you will experience some distortion.The volume knob turns smoothly but stays in position once set.The desktop tripod has nice and wide feet so it won’t tip over. The USB cable is about a metre long but you could use a longer cable if required. The connector on the mic is a robust USB B type (usually seen on printers and scanners) and holds the connector firmly in place.The microphone pickup pattern is cardioid which means it picks up less sound from the rear and the sides, useful for noisy environments. This also means that you can take advantage of the proximity effect – getting in close to the mic makes the bass in your voice louder. The capsule is arranged so that you have to talk into the side of the grille to get the best response – point the Raleno logo at your mouth and you’re good to go (see the picture in the manual - in some of the reviews above it looks like they are talking into the top of mic, that means you're losing level and also the frequency repsonse will be different - Raleno! You might want to add the term "side address" to the description!). Try to keep the grille about 10-20cm from your mouth as you talk for the best results.Installation is easy, just plug it in and wait a few seconds for your computer to recognise it as a ”USB microphone” then select it as the source in your software.All in all, good value for money for a mic that can be used for online video conferences, recording podcasts, basically anything audio recording related.

Sound quality is good but requires one to speak into the microphone. Microphone itself is sturdy enough but the stand is not. For the price it is a fair purchase.

I've been having issues with headsets not picking up my voice, so I decided to buy a dedicated microphone to make calls and game with. This is a really good microphone, love that I've also found the settings that let me hear myself back like a karaoke. I struggled to get the microphone to work at first, it took a pc restart and adjusting the settings to make sure apps can use the microphone. But now people can hear me great, I can even have my partner sitting next to me joining in the call, which eliminates the problem with headsets and 2 people in the same call but on different PCs. I did knock 1 star off because the instructions aren't designed for windows 10, although most people have enough know-how to work it out, it would be helpful to have more relevant information. The stand isn't really adjustable, so if for example, you are playing a voice activated game and want the mic higher/closer to your mouth to make sure it pics up your commands you have to close the legs of the stand and balance it carefully. If the stand legs were adjustable so as you can adjust the mic height then this would get a full 5 stars.
