Compared to buying these at my local box type store, these are the exact same thing only at a far better value! Supper easy to install! I put these in my Pelican kayak from start to finish in under five minutes. ( with drill and hole saw) I would definitely recommend!

Easy to install. As everyone else has stated, the screws that it comes with are a joke. I used some stainless steel sheet metal screws and it worked just peachy. Drill the whole at the 30 degree angle in which you want to rods to point and slide it on in. The Pelican Trailblaser kayaks also have little dimples already in the plastic right where the rod holders need to go.

These rod holders are great for any kayak. I bought two sets for my two kayaks and install them in no time.There is no instructions in the package (at least I didn't get any), so if you never installed it, make sure you watch a youTube video before and think it through, because when you drill in your kayak the mistakes are easy to see.Materials needed:-Hand drill-drill bits-Mandril and hole saw-Rivet Gun-Rivets

Rodholder and cover/gasket are well made, look good, and work as desired. Fasteners furnished are #8 x 5/8" flathead machine screws which require tapping the holes drilled into the polyethylene hull, while flathead screws or rivets or both would be more appropriate. I used rivets. Also, I think enclosing a simple diagram illustrating a recommended position would prevent opposite intended orientation by an inexperienced installer (in most cases when mounted behind paddler, the hinge of the holder should be rotated somewhat toward tank well to result in rod tilted toward rear of kayak).

Great value and easy install. Includes screws but the screws are just long enough to thread into the plastic with no nut on the other side. Not sure that will hold long term so I may buy longer screws to put a washer and a nut on the inside of the kayak. I used a 1 3/4" hole saw to drill the holes and.then had to angle the hole saw to taper the hole to allow the rod holder to sit flush not a big deal and only takes a few seconds. You could probably drill a slightly larger whole instead to achieve the same result.

We mounted these thru-hull rod holders on two Sundolphin Bali 10 SS kayaks (See attached photo).The good news, they work great!The bad news, the mounting hardware that comes with them will not work on plastic kayaks. You will need different mounting hardware. We used tri-fold rivets. Also you will need to drill a 1-1/2 inch hole to install the rod holders.This is an easy and inexpensive mod for kayaks. Exactly what I needed for my Sun dolphin Destin 10.4 It did not come with rod holders ...Order these from Amazon and I receive them 4 days later .Rod holders were the perfect links for my sit on top, The gaskets Make a good seal. Do not count on the hardware to mount the rod holders !! I went to Ace Hardware and bought new fasteners. Great price good rod holders .

Bought this 2 pack for $9.59 with free prime shipping. Dicks Sporting Goods has flush mount rod holders similar to these for $15 each so I figured these were worth a try. Used a hole saw (forget what size) to bore out holes and then mounted them easy enough. FWI, the hardware is junk so be prepared for a trip to the hardware store. I spent about $3 on 1" stainless steel 1/4 20 bolts, washers and locking nuts to finish the job.
