no it just covers the back of the phone, it's a kind of rubber so feels very secure and comfy in the hand, i got a Spigen NEOFLEX screen protector on my phone and haven't had any issues. i've had them both on since the release date, the phone has travelled from the UK to Zante for a 2 week holiday , my phone lives in my rucksack when i'm not using it and have had no scratches to the screen at all..... hope this helps
