Fantastic collection!
Just ordered, so I'll give a more detailed review when I see the product. Based on what Im seeing I cant imagine there is anything short of broken or scratched discs that will disappoint.I remember buying her first album on vinyl way back when. I had a mix of vinyl and cassettes for the whole set of five and I pretty much wore them out listening to them all. I generally love entire albums of artists, and I have to say that these are no different. I always just put them on and played the whole thing and I dont remember any songs that I didnt like on any of these five albums. I saw her at a state fair in my city here in 1984 and loved every minute of it.I did lose interest in her music after the fifth album. Dont get me wrong, I loved Prince, but he helped to over sexualize Sheena which up till the fifth album I really had seen more as a sister figure and had a lot of respect for her career. I guess what happened is that when I saw she seemed to feel like she had to go in that direction that I lost a little respect and then interest.I kind of wish she'd have never had contact with Prince. His own music was very sexually oriented and I expected that from him. I just didnt like seeing it from Sheena who I thought was selling herself short by going that direction. She has such a wonderful voice and so much talent she didnt need to prove she was a woman.Edit.Got them in the mail today. Not a scratch.Absolutely love the packaging on this product. There is a card stock box, not overly thick or cumbersome at all, then each album is in a miniature card stock cover that looks just like the old vinyl album covers from way back when. This set up is 10 stars in a 5 star world.

I have always loved it and bringing back these previously out of print ...
These albums and the remarkably powerful, often underrated, nuanced voice of Sheena Easton were a touchstone for me in high school and college. I have remained a devoted fan through the years. To be able to own her first 5 albums in one CD package and revisit each one in its entirety has been a treat. While some of the production may sound a bit dated, Ms. Easton's soaring voice still glimmers. I have always loved it and bringing back these previously out of print discs may enable others to learn or remember that what separated her from her contemporaries (Madonna, Paula Abdul, Bananarama, etc.) was a genuine, dexterous, "belt it to the back of the house" vocal instrument. The ballads in this set are especially worth noting and listening to, even though most of her charting singles were uptempo pop songs. Hat's off to whoever decided to re-release these albums and, more importantly, hats off to Ms. Easton for sharing her voice and career with all of us!

Yay!
I'm a huge Sheena Easton fan. I bought this to replace my vinyl collection (not replace really, just to augment). It's nice to have these songs at my fingertips for a change. The set comprises 5 cd's. Each is in a small cardstock replica of it's album cover (adorable). The five sleeves are then contained in the box you see in the product description. This is one of the best music purchases I've made in a while. If you're not a fan already, you might want to stick to a greatest hits compilation. If you're a Sheena maniac like me, you must have this set.

Sheena's first 5 albums all in one place!
Great collection of Sheena's first 5 albums she recorded for Emi Records in the 80's! Only two songs missing from this era and you can get them from her singles collection cd released in '93: "For Your Eyes Only" and "We've Got Tonight" (a duet with Kenny Rogers). This is still a lot of great music for a cheap price...definitely recommended!

Splendid Set
This multi-CD British import is a must-have for any Sheena Easton fan. Brings back memories of great early 80s music. Now, I only wish that she would bring her tour near my area.

Great collection
Great collection-nice to have these on cd-as 2 of these were very hard to find for quite a while, and when you did they were quite pricey!

Great to hear these again. Special memories for me asa 20 year old playing in a band.
I was lucky enough to be around Audio International studios around the time the first two albums were recorded. Nick Ryan who was Sheena's recording engineer was producing my band, Paris 9, for RCA so the time has special memories for me. I never met Sheena but because of the link I bought the first three albums on vinyl. Always liked them particularly the third which was done at Air Studios in Monserrat before it was blitz by the volcano. Ice out in the rain was a great track and Machinery was good as well with Peter Van Hook [drummer] playing against I think 3 drum boxes all linked together to get what they wanted. Fab hearing these again. I'd never hear the stuff on albums 4 and 5 with Prince but liked some of them. Not sure why there was a big split from the UK by Sheena but probably thought the 'control' by the UK Producers was a bit much after 3 albums. Usually the way. Anyway a great buy not just for Sheena but for the song writing, the playing of the musicians and the backing vocals of producer Chris Neill and co on the first three albums which is great.

An amazing compilation
I certainly love this compilation and so will others who enjoyed Sheena's music in the 80s! There is no booklet or lyrics enclosed but for the price, it is an absolute bargain. Madness, Money and Music is my favourite album and Sheena proves she is a fantastic and talented singer. Fans will love this compilation - so get it if you still don't have it!
