I keep breaking the cords that I use for charging my phone in my car so naturally it was time to try one of these wireless chargers. Firstly, I will say that my IPhone 11 Pro Max is a little large for this charger but only because it slightly obscures the silver buttons on the side (took me a long time to figure out how to get the thing to close because I couldn’t see them) so if you have a big phone keep that in mind. HOWEVER, I spend a lot of my time navigating with GPS around the city for work and this thing is a lifesaver because I don’t have to remember to charge my phone it’s just automatic! There have been times in the past that I have used GPS and not plugged my phone in only to get to where I was going and see that I only have 5% left!I really like the design and the fact that it closes and opens for you is pretty cool! I’m very happy with my purchase and will be checking out the other things this store has to offer soon!Update: still works perfect!

I really wanted to like this holder-charger. It seemed like a great idea.... but in practice, not so much.The suction cup is great-- I was very surprised to see that it just plain GRIPPED my dashboard, almost wherever I put it (even on slightly curved surfaces) and just HELD ON. Five stars for the grip.The arm and holder itself are OK-- even tightened down, it moves slightly, especially going over bumps-- but overall does hold position fairly well. Lateral movement is least encumbered, so occasionally I'll find that the holder has shifted slightly to the left or right. Four stars for the arm and holder.Now the crux of the matter-- the gimmicky auto open/close. Seems like a great idea overall, but there are a few issues. Because of the way I have the power hooked up (to a portable battery in the car that's hooked to the car battery), sometimes the unit won't open automatically when powered down, resulting in a stuck phone. Worst, though, is the placement of the sensor-- because frequently, when I touch my phone while driving (to do whatever), the sensor is triggered, the arms open, and with the next bump, my phone jumps out of the cradle. NO BUENO! 1 star for this design.I'm still using the thing, but really just want a simple old-school (ha, maybe 2018?) HOLDER that HOLDS and stays HOLDING. Minor detail, right? A phone cradle that actually holds onto your phone...... *SIGH*

I just purchased this product as a generic wireless charger. I'm not necessarily going to use it in my car, but I have the option if I need to. I'm not sure if I would use the air conditioner vent clip mount, not because there is anything wrong with the one provided, but I'm not comfortable with that style mount. The suction cup works exceedingly well. I currently have it attached to a metal plate which I can move to where ever I need a wireless charger. It has a USB C charging cable (to USB A) which is good, since everything seems to be moving to USB C. I don't have longterm usage data, but the unit seems to be well made and hopefully it will hold up over time. There is one cute feature. It has automatic clamps. All you do is put the phone in the cradle and it grabs the phone with a built in motor. You touch a sensor on the side and it lets go. Very handy. So much better than trying to spread spring loaded clamps with one hand and trying to insert the phone with the other hand. One (almost) issue is that the clamps don't open wider than my phone. It barely slips in when the clamps are fully open. That is all I need, but it was close. I have an iPhone XSMax, so it is a larger phone, but still I would have like it to open another couple of mm.

Works sort of. Not really. Just goes through the motions.* The gripper does NOT grip enough to keep an iPhone from shaking loose in city driving.* The gripper is a bit too narrow for larger phonesThese issues might have been overlooked, but I already own an almost identical unit from another brand that is AMAZING and has none of these shortcomings (plus it comes with a nice all-metal car power adapter) I tried to save $5 bucks since I have plenty of adapters. But... I'm returning this and buying a second of CTYBB Qi Auto-Clamping phone holder.... it's that much better, and my expectations are already set for something that works VERY WELL and I can no longer settle for something that gets by.

Was great out of the box! I have purchased a QC 3.0 cigarette adapter so it would charges and open and close. It worked flawlessly for about 3 weeks. Now it no longer charges my phone. I suspect I know what the issue is however it will be some time before am able to test. Not necessarily a knock against the device its self. Its the fact that it was working fine and then all of a sudden after 3 weeks no longer charges is frustrating. Once I have time to test everything and make the changes it should be back working 100%. Thank you, good day.Update: Did some testing with confirmed fast wireless chargers. IT is still opening and closing but no longer charges. Reducing the stars to 2 as it is only good for holding the device. There is a light at the bottom that was blue when connected and now is blinking red.Update: the charger is no longer opening or closing properly. I was contacted by a representative from the manufacturer. They are sending a replacement.

Most phone holders, for me, never stay in the position I want them to be. This one has a very strong swivel joint and the phone stays where you put it. The connection to the A/C vent has a very solid clip that hold to the vent quite well.The mechanism to open and close on the phone is very cool. When you place the phone in the cradle the side arms automatically close. When you tap either of the silver tabs on the side of the holder the arms open. The only problem is there must be power to the device to work.The touch charging is very strong. I can use my GPS and music apps and the phone gets a full fairly quickly. I'm getting another one for my other car.
