Outstanding, Just What the Doctor Ordered
I researched a bunch of these keyboards and was minutes away from buying the Apple Magic keyboard. So glad I didn’t. Also really glad I didn’t go with the cheaper sub $100 models. I absolutely need a trackpad and the cheaper models reviews were heart breaking. The Magic gets good reviews but it is an Apple product and once you are in the orchard you tend to stay there. I would know. Anyway Michelle Nyugen has a really great article in Wall Street Journal, How to turn your iPad into a Laptop, or something like that. And she mentions this keyboard. But I ignored all that journalism and objectivity and focused on the Apple brand. But luckily I snapped out of it. I needed something that I could use on my lap, the Magic Keyboard sucks for that, the Brydge is fanastic. I needed a top notch trackpad, this one is awesome. What I didn’t know is Brydge brought all the familiar MacOS shortcuts over. So all the keyboard shortcuts I am used to, work perfectly. I am at the top of the learning curve, that’s sweet. The keys have a nice travel, great feel and an oh-so-satisfying click. The backlight is great. Very bright and the top row of keys are all function keys specifically tailored to iPadOS. So nice. I got used to the keyboard so fast I forgot my iPad Pro was an iPad and got surprised when I touched the screen and stuff happened! I have to be 100% mobile so having this keyboard and a cellular enabled iPad Pro is perfect for me. Happy Happy Joy Joy

Truly Arrived "Like Nw"
I have the twin to this keypad case, I just bought this one as a backup for my less than 6 month old iPad Pro. I intend to keep this ipad for a long time, and at some point the keypad case in use will probably give out, so this is my backup. Why, you ask? For $18, why not? This case arrived in original packaging, looking totally new. I charged it up, mostly to verify that it would charge, and then I put it in a drawer, awaiting use at some point in the future. These are great keypad cases, excellent key 'feel' and lighting if you so choose, and I am not seeing any delay in the keypad connecting via Bluetooth so I don't lose the first character or two as i type, as I have with other cases in the past.

The quality is excellent, but...
...there are three issues that are unsettling: First, it's recommended to remove an existing screen protector to avoid undue pressure on the screen where the hinges clamp onto the iPad. It makes sense to do so, but now I have to give up a texture that I liked--the screen protector I had allowed my fingers to easily glide on the tablets surface; the "natural" texture isn't anywhere near as slick so I'm not thrilled with the au naturale texture. Second, the iPad sits so low in the hinges that I'm unable to dismiss a screen/close an app by swiping up from the bottom--I have to pull the iPad up a minimum of 4mm to be able to do so, but that also means the top of the iPad now juts out 4mm over the edge of the keyboard; the overhang is surely to incur damage somehow. Third, there are two, rubber "bumpers" on the keyboard that prevent the iPad's screen from becoming damaged by it resting on keyboard's keys. In my experience with MacBooks, those nubs eventually scratch the screen from repeated opening and closing, so I wonder that now that I'm sans screen protector, whether that'll happen, too. I had a Logitech Slim Portfolio cover before and it hadn't gone wonky with its E and L keys frequently flaking out I would've kept it; it's because of Logitech's poor customer service in resolving the matter that I decided to try the Brydge keyboard. However, I'm having second thoughts about keeping it, especially with the too-low-bezel issue. I suppose I could use keyboard commands to accomplish the dismissal of active apps, but I shouldn't have to modify my behavior on account of a design flaw.

Useful while it lasts, but it doesn’t last
Heed the warnings in the negative reviews, the rubber around the hinges comes apart after just a few months, and since that’s the only thing that protects your iPad from the metal hinges themsevels as well as the only thing that secures your ipad in place, the whole thing becomes useless once those begin to fail. The trackpad is responsive and accurate, and the keyboard is great, but those things don’t matter if luck of the draw determines whether or not it lasts longer than a couple of months.

Current status of Brydge
Do a Google search Brydge and Brydge Connect for plenty of info for you BEFORE ordering. These are great keyboards with a limited lifespan. My first one lasted just under a year, after conversation with support I was sent a replacement. It lasted a little over 3 years then failed. I ordered another figuring the great price would be fine even with the possibility of a short life. The first thing they ask is that you update firmware wth the app. I already had that but it was non functional. Went to the App Store to check for update. Nope, it is totally gone. The new keyboard board connected right up with Bluetooth and seems to be working fine, but no way to know how old the inventory is that is currently being liquidated at a very good price. Or, how long it may last. Its mighty good for under 40 bucks. Never found anything close to it over the years.

Works great
So far it's a great product. Works seemlessly.

Already Broke after 2 Months… Poor Design
I bought this case because I love this brand. Have a different case for another product by this company and have been using it for years with no issues. When I got this iPad I new immediately I was interested in getting another case by them. As someone who uses this for school I have always liked that the iPad easily detaches from the keyboard so I can hand write on it and the trackpad. Well, on my other product the case comes off the keyboard very easily. For this product it does not! The keyboard is metal and the clips for the keyboard to the case have a thin border of rubber. After just a few uses the rubber has ripped off of the clips and the product cannot be used since I can’t attach the iPad to the keyboard. I had attempted to put the iPad back on (before I realized it was broken) and the metal on the clips broke my glass screen protector and scratched it up. I am very disappointed and upset. I had high hopes for this product since my other products are fantastic. I think it’s just a design flaw on this item. Mainly being because instead of it being a case the iPad goes into and clips onto the keyboard, it’s just a magnetic covering on the iPad and you place the iPad itself directly into the clips. I would exchange for a replacement but pretty sure it is past the time frame of my purchase.

Just as good as apples own…
I was disappointed to find out that the firmware on this device is no longer updated and is not any longer "supported" by the maker. HOWEVER, it's not like you need to worry about security updates for a keyboard, just more updated features - which are unnecessary. Depending on what you need the keyboard for, it will do everything an Apple "magic" Keyboard does and arguably better...then still possibly do more than said keyboard if you learn the key combos/shortcut keys. I believe the reason that this keyboard disappeared from the active market is probably because of the way it holds the iPad. You just have to be careful not to squeeze the iPad too hard where it clamps in and make sure the rubber "gaskets" are always protecting the glass as they can shift side to side in the molts. Easy. And if that's what knocked the price of this perfect keyboard down as of when I bought it by $100 (or something. I'm not sure what the original price was. I remember it was expensive ...close to what Apples cost) then i hope tech companies make more acceptable and easily remedied flaws which afford me top tier tech at a steal.
