Are the colors “true”? I don’t want any colors that say they’re blue & be blue black or red that is burgundy/brown.

The set I bought is a “vintage” color set. So the red is a burgundy. One of the greens is kind of a sage color, another is olive. The purple shade is more of a “mauve.” They are GORGEOUS colors (IMO), but if you are going for “true” colors, this isn’t likely the set you’re looking for.

Is the ink waterproof?

I used a few pens to make marks on white copy paper and the did not smear at all when I put several drops of water on the paper. Hope this helps,

Are these pens archival quality?

I'm so sorry I cannot answer this question. I bought several different coloring pens to carry with me to places where I will probably have to wait my turn. I carry them in a canvas bag that has some drawings of words and have been coloring those in. I haven't tried to wash the bag. I also have a small coloring book. Doctor's offices seem to be the places where many of us sit and color. Some people carry pads. But archival. I dunno. Sounds like you're an artist. Want to show us your work?
