Initial rating 5* because they're a great price and give (subjectively) as much light at 6W as my previous COB lights gave at 7W. The new ones are 100deg beam while the old COBs were 60deg. So I'd expected the new ones to be dimmer because they're lower wattage and spread out over a much larger area, but no, plenty of light!There's no warranty period specified in the listing, nor on the box, so it will be interesting to see how long they last, and the star rating will obviously have to be edited if they stop working soon. The entire casing appears to be plastic, while my old ones were metal and could act as a heatsink - time will tell if this sort of bulb really needs heatsinking or if the technology has moved on to the point where a plastic casing is good enough now.

I bought these to replace halogen bulbs in my kitchen lights. The bulbs are very bright, look well-made. However I couldn't tolerate the colour of the light (3000K) - it is much colder than the original halogen bulbs and made my kitchen feel very stark and sterile. Within an hour I had put back my old bulbs! I don't think similar bulbs but with 2800K frequency would give the warmth of light that halogen lights give, though should be closer than these. Giving these away to a charity. So if you want something close to the feel of halogen lights these aren't the bulbs to buy.I've given them a 4 star because the bulbs seem good quality, but LEDs don't give the same sort of light as halogen.
