Steve Backshall's Venom

I got for my Steve Backshall obsessed 8 year old. Lovely book, but it is to in depth for him. When reading together I have to “translate” some of the scientific terms and skip bits E.g about the chemical make up of the venoms. I have quite enjoyed reading it though!

My son loves it, but the writing is a bit too small for him to read and there are some difficult words. More appropriate for an older child (my son is 8) but the content is interesting. The Deadly 60 books are more appropriate but less available.

STeve Backshall aces in print as well as TV. My son loves the photos of fingers bitten by rattlesnakes; there are lots of very interesting venom factsIf you like snakes, this is a must
