I bought these because they were almost half the cost of brita.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Value! Genuine carbon filter inside. Ease of installation: Needed to really jam it on my britta to get the useage meter to reset.

Don't know why Brita stopped producing the filter? But, this replacement works well. This is easy to install and taste wise the water is okay.

Had to return to waterdrop. It got so I could not turn it on and off. The lever would not move anymore. Also unless you have a deep sink i wouldn't recommend buying this. I couldn't put anything but small glasses under it. The manufacturer offered me a refund even though it is past the return date. I haven't received it yet but hopefully soon. I can shop for a different kind.

Love that it fit into the Britta system we already had within 5 seconds. Tastes clean and clear. We started using this system when we first moved into this house in a small town on the prairie. We quickly discovered the town had problems with their water filtering and had a high amount of trihalomethanes in the water. We looked it up and discovered these can cause internal organ problems if taken for a long period of time. The people we got this house from had lived here eleven years, and within months after they moved, the wife had to have her gall bladder removed. Nobody knows if it was from the bad drinking water. But we haven't had any problems internally since using this filter system. Plus, this is only about a dollar more for two filters than when we buy the single Britta replacement filters from the store!
