Dual Sport

I like Airhawk brand; this is my third one. The air bladder appeals to me more than the foam or silicone pads. It has more “give” than the others, and I like it. Admittedly it’s the most expensive, but I’m ok with that. It’s high quality. And thus one fits my Honda NC750X. Highly recommended!

I bought this out of curiosity, fully expecting also to try a sheepskin and some roller beads too. People seem either to love these cushions or they just don't. I had no idea what to expect when I tried it out for the first time, and I was disappointed. It's not like sitting on a magic carpet. But, that's not really the point. I have a few hundred miles on mine now, and I've come to love and appreciate it. First, you have to fiddle with air pressures a bit to get it set up properly for your body. Less air is generally better than more. Once you've done that, that magic of this thing isn't that you feel like you're in a comfy lounge chair; it's that after two hours on your bike you don't feel like you're sitting on a rock. I like mine and use it all the time. If you buy one, take the time to fiddle with air pressures until you get it where you like it. Then, don't judge it based on a ride around town. Get out on the road and do a few hundred miles, and then be amazed that your butt isn't killing you. I ride a 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000LT. The riding position is pretty upright. I'm a tall guy, and I've adjusted the bike so it fits me well to start with. If you throw this cushion on a bike expecting it to fix basic ergonomic problems, or if you expect it to do something special on trips around town, you may be disappointed. If you like to get on a well set up bike and do a few hundred miles at a time, you may really appreciate it. This cushion gets four stars from me. It's well-made, but at $108 it's a pricey gamble for most folks. At $69.95 it would be a five-star no-brainer.

I purchased this before leaving on a 10-day/1,900-mile trip on an adventure bike. I mention the bike type because this seat survived not only pavement but also dirt, rock, bike drops, stick/branch pokes and foul weather. I am certain I would not have enjoyed the trip nearly as much without this product, it really spared me some serious tailbone pain and other rear-end discomfort. We averaged 100+ miles for 10 straight days. Be advised to really get the most out of this product is to have it barely inflated. You don't want to over-inflate, as it will be too hard and not provide anything better than the seat. Anything in the middle will feel squishy and you'll feel yourself sliding side-to-side and front-to-back and air relocating to different areas of the air bag. Just the right amount of air will give you maybe 1/4" of air cushioning off the seat surface. I bought the dual-sport model so I could use on both my KTM 450EXC dirt bike and my KTM 950 Adventure. It looks more like the shape of a cruiser saddle, but worked great on my ADV. Have not tried it yet on the EXC.

This isnt the right fit for me. One- it makes you sit a bit higher, maybe an inch or so higher on the motorcycle, and although I was expecting some more height I wasnt expecting how much I wouldnt like it, the feeling of being a bit top heavy and the change in cornering my sportbike (Aprilia rs660). Two- they mention to air it down to the lowest spot where you feel less height and I tried about 6 different t air levels until there was almost none- all levels pushed me forward as the air escapes to the back end of the seat air bag and it puffs up while the front area you sit on goes flat, so wasnt feeling any real support. Three- the cost seems a bit high. I see similar stuff on a few discount websites for 70% less. So, I gave it a try and did about a 4.5 hour ride, and it annoyed me more than anything. I sent it back. Not sure it's for a sport bike, may work better for a nice flat seated Harley type ride, idk

Buyer for a Ducati Multistrada and after few adjustments I am definitely giving it five star. It really improves comfort and riding experience. I have it fully inflated and to me it works best in this condition.

I was very nervous to go on a trip for 7 hours because my Yamaha R6 seat is very hard and comfortable. Last minute I heard about the Air Hawk and decided to give it a try. It came fast, just as expected, and I am so glad I had this with me. I still felt a bit of pain, but it was very minimal pain compared to other rides. It is easy to install and comfortable. My major concern when buying this was that the air would raise me up a little bit and I am already on my toes, since I'm short. But this wasn't the case. it was perfect for me. I am now comfortable in long rides.

I've been trying to get this cushion dialed in for two weeks. It requires a lot of trial and error to get the proper inflation level. The seat seems more comfortable than than stock (Yamaha FJ-09) but it's still hard to get in more than two hours of sit time without taking a break. As others have said, the straps don't seem very stout but they do keep the pad from slipping. It would take someone about 10 seconds to steal this off your bike. I used zip ties to make it harder to un-clip the straps from the pad but a cheap knife or a pair of scissors could easily cut through the thin straps. I'm glad I bought it but so far it hasn't been the miracle cure that others have experienced.

I used the standard sized cushion on a 1.2k mile trip through Pakistan. I've had an 8 hour trip cause more butt/taint pain without the Airhawk than the total amount of discomfort that I experienced through this whole trip. The terrain ranged from paid roads, to sand, dirt and gravel, and everything in between. I definitely recommend this product. I wish I would have bought this sooner. I knocked one star for the durability because of the straps broke, but it stayed on the bike just fine with one strap. The seller was super responsive and quick to ship out replacement straps for the seat.

The product extends my motorcycle trips for at least 3 to 4 hours. It's much cheaper than buying a new motorcycle seat and I have not tried that, to compare the difference in comfort, because this product does the trick. Its very easy to inflate and install/remove on my motorcycle. You can inflate it, while its installed on the bike (i.e. easy access to air tube), to the perfect comfort level for you through trial and error. It will take a a few centimetres of height off the ground because you are adding an air seat to your motorcycle seat, so make sure you can still ride comfortably with your feet a little higher off the ground. I have a very tall bike and I tip toe on the ground with the air hawk seat but still find it comfortable and safe. Enjoy!

It’s a god send … I used to struggle after a couple of hours on the bike but this is a fabulous bit of kit … all the way to Belgium and back and no sore backside … best money I have spent in a long time!
