The essential greatest hits are all here. The vendor delivered the cd before the predicted time and day. There were no problems. I would buy from this vendor again.

I have loved the Drifters since the late 1950's. I am 76 years old and their harmonies never get old. Nobody sings like them any more!

I just got the CD and have listened to the first 3 songs. I love it and expect the rest to be just as good!

It’s great to hear the old artists perform. This was back when singers could record their work beautifully without the assistance of any synthesizers. They were truly artists who could sing and dance and by today’s standards worked for pennies. Thanks!

Absolutely wonderful collection of great music by a great group. I am from North Carolina where beach music is king and the Drifters were a huge part of that music genre and this album (CD) highlights some of the songs and memories that were a part of that very thing. Would recommend this collection of hits to anyone, especially beach music lovers everywhere.

10 titres, l'essentiel de l'essentiel. Il y manque quelques standards, certes, mais que du bon, très cohérent, et très bonne porte d'entrée.(Pas de Clyde McPhatter, la compil commence avec la période Ben E King, et continue après son départ, mais ce turnover ne nuit pas à la cohérence d'ensemble. Des morceaux magnifiques issus des plus belles plumes du Brill Building, un véritable enchantement.

The Drifters were a significant presence on American radio during the 50's and especially the early 1960's. Their numerous hits have "class" written all over them, and they are a joy to hear after all these years. The classic version of "On Broadway" is here, as well as "Up On the Roof", and "Under the Boardwalk", urban r&b par excellence!

1984年の夏、私はニューヨーク、セントラルパークでそれに出会った。小さな露天の屋台で売られていたカセットテープの一本として。ドウ・ワップの古典としてグループの名前くらいは知っていたが、曲はといえば実際聞いたことがない。きっと、なにがしかの好奇心と２ドルそこそこという値段が手を伸ばさせたのだろう。歌詞カードも何もなかった。海賊版であったかもしれない。だが、この出会いは幸福なものであった。音質こそ時代相当であったが、瑞々しく恋を歌うその曲の数々に私は酔いしれた。テープの宿命である寿命を迎えるまで。帰国してのち、別のベストアルバムをＣＤショップで見つけた。洗練はされていたし音もよかった。が、魂を揺さぶるようなあの感覚はなく、落胆した。しかし今は、あのときのアルバムがＣＤとしてここにある。忘れようもないジャケット・デザインとともに。amazonで再び出会えた幸運に感謝。そして、我が青春との再会に乾杯。
