Q: Since this thing crapped out after only a few uses, is there a warranty? Shoulda read the bad reviews

I have had mine for 6 mos. or so. It is still functioning well. I am not crazy about the design however, since the one I replaced came with a stand, and a place to put the seal cutter. Next time I will study the picture more carefully. I don't have a warranty, and don't think it came with one.

Q: Mine has stopped working in down mode to screw into the cork after six months. It still works to bring up the cork if It would screw into it. Ideas?

It broke after eight weeks. I returned it.

Q: Does this open an artificial cork such as plastic?

It did for me. In my case it actually opened slightly easier.

Q: Why does the light go out when charging? The directions recommend 10 hours of charging before first use and it just went out after 5 hours.

Does it work after 5 hours? I would assume that it could be fully charged otherwise it would probably needs to be completely dead in order to get the full 10 hour charge. I didn't charge mine when I first open the box because I was able to use it to open my wine. I waited until it was completely dead first then I charge it over night.
