Extremely diverse tool, well made and saved my back. I do a fair bit of logging and this tool made everything easier. I purchased the package which included the holster, well worth the extra cash.

Easier, Safer, and Quicker
I surprised my husband as he was breaking his back doing fire mitigation. He says the LogOx takes all the effort off his back muscles and now its more upper body. This has made the tasks so much easier and less strain. It makes the work go much faster as well. He absolutely loves it. (He is a senior and this will enable him to do mitigation more safely)

The tool I needed for cutting trees on the ground
After cutting down large hardwood I have struggled with cutting into 16 inch length with the logs on the ground. I have often hit dirt with my chainsaw. Cutting a portion of the tree and rolling the logs isn't always and option as many of logs are stacked in piles. This tool allows me to clamp on the trunk and pull down on the lever to raise one side of the log off of the ground. My chainsaw doesn't hit dirt and it is a single cut no more moving the tree. There are tree width and weight limits to elevating the tree, but the leverage bar hasn't bent yet. The splitting wood features of this tool are nice. I can stand up next to my log splitter and without bending over grab a log and lift it to the splitter bed. I have picked up some heavy logs and had to use both hands and turn my face to side (in case it slipped off) so I wouldn't punch my self if the tool slipped off the wood. That hasn't happened yet and hope it doesn't happen. The key point is no back pain as I do not have to bend over. I have broken three different brands of Pickaroons (around $60 each) as I have tried to use those to lift logs to the splitter bed. This is a winner product and I did purchase the full kit with the belt attachment to hold the grabber while splitting. The tool has slipped out of the belt loop loop a few times, so I mostly just set it to the side.

Great multi-use tool. Robust steel makes it heavy versus wooden handled alternatives. Have extra R-Clips handy when using the pickaroon tool.

Works as advertised, solidly built
Unpacked the tool and found everything to be of high quality. It's very intuitive and for the most part it is built to be assembled and adapted in the field. It is easy to use, at first, I couldn't see how it would work to lift logs, but it does, it works well and is a real back saver which is huge for me as I have lower back issues. One oddity is that the "T stand" is attached with a bolt and nut, not a pin like everything else. I'm not sure why and I'll probably change this out, but otherwise this is a great tool and well worth it. First time I used it to lift a large Oak round my wife smiled and said "money well spent". She doesn't often say that when I buy tools.
