One of the things I dislike about point and shoot cameras is the lack of polarization. This works well with my filters.

I bought this to help protect the Ricoh GRIIIX from dust and damage to its lens as well as to accept a proper ND filter. The GRIIIX has a low max shutter speed and the internal ND filter was not adequate to keep it from stopping down to 7.1 in bright conditions to maintain exposure at 100 iso.The NISI adapter keeps the camera relatively compact while allowing me to attach an adjustable ND filter as well as other diffusion filters when needed. It also provides some piece of mind to prevent dust and damage to the lens but time will tell if it can fully prevent dust from entering the GRIIIX.

It holds a filter and you can put a lens cap over it. I wish the connection was a bit stronger as it disconnects in bags or pockets fairly easily. Also wish there was an inner lens cap so I could leave filter and lenscap on it while it’s removed and not get dust inside. As of now, if removed with the filter still on it won’t stay clean so you have to take the additional step of removing and putting the filter in a case when you put it away.

Great product, fits nicely and does what i need, add filter mount 49mm to your ricoh, i use it mostly to keep dust out of the camera.

It fits snuggly in the GR's bayonet mount and holds a 49mm filter. Exactly what I needed.

I was a bit worried about this adapter, as one of the reviewers pointed out that it prevented the camera from entering macro mode. However, on my GRIIIx, that doesn't seem to be an issue. Everything works as expected, and it looks great!

I found no way to attach this product to my Ricoh GR3X -- regardless of what is claimed.
