Yesterday in Santa Fe (Western Legacy History Series)

This book was in the library at the house we rented in Santa Fe. I was very pleased when I got home to find that I could buy a copy. The slim volume comprises the preface, 17 short essays, postscript, chronology, source list, and suggestions for further reading. All of these attest to the extensive knowledge and scholarly diligence of the author, Marc Simmons, while engaging us in a charming, easy-to-read style.The natural beauty of contemporary Santa Fe speaks for itself, and every citizen I met was kind and welcoming. The increased cultural awareness that comes with learning about the city's history was definitely a bonus.
